I agree with the fact that there is no excuse for an abortion... rape or not, which I do believe was the purpose of the entire initial post. There is always adoption and there a A LOT of people who want children and can't have them.
And I didn't start this. I posted my image. He commented and someone post it to some crap site and it went crazy from there. Someone on here decided misinterpret the initial post. Boredom and meddling. I actually rarely check my DA, which is why I disabled comments. I'm not around enough to hide them all constantly. I do, however, find the need to defend my position on the matter and don't like assumptions you made. So here it is.
To assume someone is fundamentalist Christian based on their abortion viewpoint is just plain naive. I'm druid. I appreciate life as much as the next pro-lifer, but no where in there does it denote that I'm Christian. I think it's sad that so many people can't handle another person's opinion in life. I think it's sad that so many people can't handle another person's opinion in life. No one has to personally agree to someone else's ideas I said ten or twenty times that I didn't care what his opinion was or that he even had one on the subject, but he went off and not only said some very cruel things, he REPEATED them and made it all worse. I'm trying to help the kid because some people have threatened him and I hate seeing people threatened, I'm trying to tell him that rape isn't the woman's fault blah blah blah so on. I do not CARE if he thinks abortion is wrong no matter what. That is his view, HOWEVER, he went so far as to insist something very wrong about how the world works and that ticks me off, though while it makes me mad, I'm TRYING to help him get off of this blasted mess.

You know what, kid? I'm not trying to change your opinion or anything, because I respect everyone's right to an opinion even if it is based on wrongly acquired information. I'm not sure what influenced the opinion, but it was definitely something that had wrong information to begin with. Don't you understand that killing the mother is the same as killing the baby? I don't approve of abortion either, but unlike you, I'm not trying to FORCE my own opinion onto others. If you don't like something, that's fine, and it's our right as Americans to be able to actually VOICE an opinion.
HOWEVER, it's one thing to voice an opinion. What you did was make an asshole of yourself about it. And this is something I, and I'm sure your parents, would not approve of.
I'll ask you politely to please not say things that would upset someone else. I know you're young, heck, you're the same age as me, but I can't stand to see someone get chewed out because they said something retarded. I mean, what I'm trying to say is, do some research. Find things to back up your opinions. All the people angry at you are angry because you made some pretty cruel assumptions about everything you said. If you found some facts and they could back up why you think abortion is wrong, why you think babies should be given a chance, well then, maybe someone would listen to you.
But you came out all wrong. You accused rape victims of being responsible for their rape:The whole rape thing is pretty much called rape because girl does NOT have a say in the matter. If she did, it wouldn't be rape. If the girl agreed to it, it was not rape, therefore if she got pregnant it would be her fault because she had consent on it. But then again, if she had consent on it and agreed to it it wouldn't be rape. It would be plain old sex and she would be responsible for remebering to pop the Pill. Do you understand all this jargon? Are you following?
See, this is a logical reason. Not "Maybe they shouldn't walk dark alleyways at night." I've seen more dark alleyways in my time than you ever will, kid, and in not one of them is a rape ever happening. That's a very cliche way of looking at such a sick action. Before you start arguing with me, as I'm sure you will, try and collect some information. Maybe you can come up with a way of saying things that won't make you seem like such a twisted asshole. I'm sure that deep down you really do mean well, try and let your actions refelct that. Instead of forcing your opinion, accept other opinions and take them into account. It will be much easier for you to get along if you do so, for starters <3

Okay. Instead of a fact or statistic, I'm going to use a REAL LIFE example that I myself heard from a school speaker's REAL LIFE experiences.
Let's say a girl has been dating someone for a while. Things are going great. Her boyfriend really does love her, or so she thinks. One night he pushes her down, rapes her, gets up, and leaves. She never hears from him again, ever. A couple weeks later she discovers she's pregnant with that guy's baby.
Think about it for a second. She had no say. She was kicking and screaming and it still happened. Stuff like this happens every other minute, literally. It's a proven statistic. Every two minutes, someone is raped.
Now, from what I understand, you HONESTLY think that woman should HONESTLY harbor no hard feelings towards the rapist, because the rape was -obviously- her fault, as you seem to think. You HONESTLY think the woman should have the same feelings for the result of the rape than if the baby were inside marriage, or at LEAST of will. You HONESTLY think that the woman should feel remorse if she decides not to have the baby of a horrible rape, a baby that, while you're right about it not having chances, is unthinking and unfeeling adn therefore not conscious of itself. It would not CARE if it was killed, nor would it care if it lived. Only after some big time in the womb does a baby become conscious. It doesn't make it okay to kill, but I would rather not mother a baby fathered by someone who betrayed me so terribly.

er...an unborn baby has no emotion. The mother may have lived a great life, but she doesn't need to die in the middle of her short time on Earth. Please understand, I would have been terribly upset had my stepmother aborted her child, but I also would have been sad if she died during childbirth. Though neither happened, her baby is fine, though one of the biggest brats I have ever seen in my 13 years of living.
