Sorry about the jealousy Maybe it will clear up when I tell you what a horrible time I'm having? lol. Just got off the phone with my bud who's in the AF currently stationed in Cali, he's had some medical problems since he joined so he isn't able to be deployed. However he told me a lot of the true "stuff your recruiter will never tell you". I dont know if I'm more or less nervous now. Who knows. I just know that I have to do what I have to do, and thats get on that bus.

Well I got 7 more days, so wish me luck and say a nice little prayer for me when I'm in as I sometimes want to give up especially when things are at their worst. Although I'm going to give my hundred percent...greg (from the AF) told me dont try to volunteer for anything also dont go out of your way to try and impress the TI's because they are unimpressable. That I believe for sure. Well anyways...I'll talk to you soon

Haha, i agree. Don't impress TI's, because you'll die in the process, i'm quite sure. Go ride that bus and do push-ups till you puke. I'm proud of you. Don't give up ever, I know you can do this. Just think of all the idiots who make it through--you're just as good if not better.

Sup. Yeah I'm starting to get scared but not backing down. So glad I heard great horror stories from my pal about basic. The saying however goes "He without fear is a fool" so its really not a bad thing to have fears I guess. I think the main thing is to simply be as unpersonal as possible, just act like a machine for them until basic's over, of course you have to act a certain way in tech but you know its not as strict obviously. I think the best thing to remember is going to be...it'll be over soon, its nothing personal, they want to see TI's break down and cry, its ok to, also they aren't going to hurt, mame or kill anybody. So everyone (without asthma or serious health problems) should survive just fine. lol I'll write you asap I'm going to get a little address book to keep some addresses in. whats your number by the way?? You can send it to my notes or whatever if you wish

Man, you have this in the bag. You'll do fine, and being a little scared (or a lot scared) is normal. Hell, I'd think you were a head case if you weren't--you're supposed to. It's bloody intense. And remember that you'll be better for it, just don't resist the changes they want to enact in you, they do this because they need a unified team, not a group of individuals. I'm proud of you and very excited.
