Nice...I'm thinking of doing something with feathers now, though. Maybe Braeburn is coming out of a barn with a goofy look on his face and blue feathers stuck in his mane and tail, and Big Macintosh just gives him an exasperated look...

You can only do it if an artist requests critique. It should show up as an option on the page for the artwork itself...you just click it and type up whatever you want, but the artist has to accept it before it gets displayed.

Eh, I know it's a crappy program, but I'm used to it. And I'm not sure what the journal is for...I made a journal entry a while back when I was really busy and had to take a month off from drawing, and then I deleted it.

ok the point of journal is to write watever your thinking about, into, etc atm. If you look at my journals, you'll sort of get the point. THey dont have to be specific... just a fun way to say something about something <(0.0)>

Idea for a Caramac pic:
Have Caramel nibbling Big mac's ear, or the other way around.
Then, if you can, do a motion clip of them turning and kissing. If not, then ignore this, and just draw the above.

No clue how to do animations...and I did to an ear nibble. It's one of my older pics, so I don't feel like it's up to my current standards, but I'm not into rehashing old ideas.

I am a fan of ear nibbling, though, and I've been meaning to come up with a way to incorporate it into a new pic. Haven't had an opportunity yet though...

What's muro? I use pencil, then I trace it with Sharpie, then I take a picture of it and do the rest in MSPaint.

It's not good, and if you have a PC, you already have it...it's just the default program that comes with Windows.

oh, well i use muro the same way you use paint- as a polishing/finishing touch up. its under the submission tab, by your sta.sh and stuff, if you want to check it out. i personally like the layering feature, so if you mess up, you dont have to erase everything.

I draw them by hand using pencil and printer paper, then I trace over that onto a new sheet of paper using a black Sharpie. Then, I take a picture of that using my phone, clean it up and get it down to black and white in MS Paint, and color it on the computer. My latest pictures are further cleaned up using the brush tool in MS Paint, but it's very time consuming to do that...I need to go back and clean up my older pics, but each pic takes a few hours.
Probably not the most efficient way to do all this, but it works for me. I need to do my rough drafts in pencil, and I don't know of any other way to get those line drawings into the computer for coloring and polishing...

I wish I knew how to do the computer stuff, doing everything by hand is tiring. it's also hard working with colored pencils. ! I burn through them. 2. they break when I sharpen them. 3. I dislike the wax bloom. I really want a set of Caran d'archs or even a good set of derwents but they don't carry them a my local art supply store. Only Prismacolors. I really loved the old spectracolors best. I still have a few left and I hoard them because they aren't made anymore.

I just use a regular pencil, but I burn through erasers like they're nothing. Almost every line in every one of my pictures gets drawn and erased a dozen times on average before I'm happy with it...and for things like hind legs, I have to do several dozen takes.

Oh I burn through erasers too. for the pencil parts, once I start laying the color it better be right because colored pencil does not erase!
