Hey sticmann, when the new groups feature comes out did you still want to do that speedpainting challenge club? The new groups system will make it easier to manage such activities.

Oh? I hadn't seen it. hmm. I don't think I'll be picking it back up right now. It wasn't even that large of a group, and I enjoyed doing the challenges and seeing everyone's entries but it really stressed me out.

It should be out within a month or two. It will come with administrative features for up to 3 or 4 or more on a case by case basis. You can basically control which entries are posted on the group homepage - which is not like a profile page but an actual groups homepage, imagine a mini-devart frontpage just for the group. I was at the devmeet where they previewed the new stuff. xD
This new method should be a really good way to get the group going xD

Thank you very much
This gallery represents nearly my entire painting history. On the whole, it has been a very good learning experience.

Very well. Thank you. I just got the paints I ordered, so I'm going to be playing around with some watercolors
I'm also cleaning out my shed to set up a little studio space outside the house where I don't have to worry about making messes and I can have a bit of uninterrupted working time. It's a huge mess though It's going to take several days of sorting through all the junk I have piled up out there. I found plans online for making a really heavy duty painting easel, so that will be cool too.

Hey pal, I'm just saying. I have evidence- from the "President"s own speeches- that he supports a communistic society, but what can you expect? He's a Democrat. He has ties to his cousin, currently fighting against our OWN troops in foreign countries, giving untold millions to this Muslim cousin. Why, he even BOWED to a MUSLIM PRINCE! Do you know how long it's been since any President has done that? This man in office wants big government, and socialism- something we have fought against for decades.. I REFUSE to be silent, and stand by, and watch while EVERYTHING we have FOUGHT AND DIED for is being destroyed by this so called Christian!

So again, my question is what are you going to do about it? You don't have to justify yourself to me. Just something for you to think about.

Loved the poster because it shows what this stupid Muslim is going to do to us, if we don't do something about it.. and if we don't, well, we'll be the USSA.

What is this, kindergarten? When you start throwing around petty name-calling tactics, the only logical conclusion that I can come to about the argument you present is that you actually don't have any idea what you're talking about and that you're just towing the party line. "if we don't do something about it.." You talk big. What would you actually do about this current situation? I'm going to go out on a limb (but not too far) and say, "nothing".

Thank you. It's funny, but I actually have more "real world" experience with that than with any of this other stuff I'm doing now.

Thank you. I'm always curious how people find my page when I haven't posted anything new. So, how'd you stumble in here?
I'm also curious why a girl (if your profile is accurate) would want to draw so many busty women. What's up?

Nyanova In reply to sticmann [2009-03-07 18:39:36 +0000 UTC]
They have a feature on deviantART where you can find a random deviant.
You never know who it will land on.
A lot of girls draw busty women. It's only anime, afterall.
I started drawing in 2003/2004. I had a friend who was also a girl...
who drew stuff similar to what I draw. I also have a few other friends
who happen to be girls that draw busty women.
Really nothing wrong with it.
Not all of my characters are busty. Two of them are. But one is
realistic while the other one is not. My cat-girl has a normal-sized
chest and I actually like drawing that better. I try to draw things
that people will find cute and sexy.
Another example of this would be =Meawsy . I'm straight, though.
I just have a difficult time with the male anatomy. The muscle
structure is difficult for me. I'm not the best artist anyway. Also,
a lot of my art comes from requests. I do a lot of gift art and
commissions.
I want other people to find my art cute. I like drawing girls because
others enjoy looking at them and they're easy and fun to draw. I do
not like drawing realistic women, though. It's just a personal style.
I do enjoy many types of artwork, though. Including yours... but I
just don't really think I could pull it off. Art isn't really my
thing. It's only a hobby. I want to go to school to learn how to repair
and build computers.

hmm. I wasn't even thinking about it from the homosexual point of view. I suppose these kind of pictures do draw a lot of views but I guess I just don't get it as an art. I don't really get anime either.
Building and repairing computers was my first job.

Nyanova In reply to sticmann [2009-03-07 19:27:17 +0000 UTC]
Did you enjoy your first job?
I drew the stuff way before I joined deviantART.
I've only been here a few years since I've started drawing.
They're just really fun to draw and the point of anime
is that it doesn't always have to be realistic. Maybe ..
idealistic... but not always realistic. Not many girls
without implants will walk around with watermelon-sized
breasts. Or be able to stand up with some of the boobs on
anime characters.

sticmann In reply to Nyanova [2009-03-07 19:36:48 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it was pretty cool learning that stuff. I've never had to pay anyone to build my computers for me
I understand not realistic. Most of my stuff is not realistic. I'm not saying nobody should do or like anime, I just don't. It doesn't really seem ideal either (again, just to me). Check out ~pastorale . He's got some cool, cute girl drawings without going overboard.

Nyanova In reply to sticmann [2009-03-07 20:41:12 +0000 UTC]
I know I would never make it as an artist. But I don't know much
about computers, really. Whole reason I'm going to school is to
learn more about them. So I won't have to pester others with my
problems. It's also probably a great way to get paid.
Nice stuff. But not my style. I like =Neolucky .
It will take me many more years to have that kind of skill.

sticmann In reply to Nyanova [2009-03-08 19:09:53 +0000 UTC]
Just like anything worth doing, art takes practice. No one is great overnight.
As far as computers go, you need to get into building and installing specialized systems. There really isn't any money in building computers for home users with Best Buy and the like practically giving these things away. If you can do large system installations for companies and provide tech support, you'll be much better off. Support is really where you can charge for your service. There isn't much out of pocket expense for you and most companies don't have an on-staff tech.

I don't want to work for a big company, really.

sticmann In reply to Nyanova [2009-03-09 00:39:46 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, you don't need to be on their staff. You could work as a consultant or a sort of freelance technician for a bunch of companies.
