I am using karmic as I type this. my other machine is a arch linux kernel.
Lately I have been working on starting my own repository with "Git" trying to learn all the branches info that I can right now.

It's a test kernel build. not really anything new, a lot of bugs still, but that is to be expected. from what I hear from developers the hot-plugging will be significantly improved. I love Ubuntu, but I have a favorite in puppy Linux. Arch Linux is another that I like, and although the dbg-ing' support is good, it lacks in compatibility with some apps I like, too much fiddling to be my everyday machine.

The more you do it the easier it gets. its like anything else. If you were to type some script in a terminal to say down load a folder or what not, it would look something like this:

sudo apt-get -v install emacs23

In Math it is common for someone to assign a letter say "x" to a number because continually writing out a long number would be taxing. If your trying to figure out the speed you would how fast you would be going if you were traveling around the earth in say an hour, you would want to write out the equation to figure out the problem; but you wouldn't want to write :

ten times. It would be easier to write pi, but you and everyone else knows you mean 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510

So learning to read #'s as letters and visa versa allows is simply a brain exercise, and a brain is like a muscle in the metaphysical, the more you exercise it the bigger and better it becomes.

if your trying to convey a long message to someone during fast paced game like: "you have just been beaten horrible because of your lack of experience." it is easier to say " UR Pwn3d n008"; then kill them again while their trying to figure out what you said. [
