It helps cheer me up to receive stuff like this (replies like this and receiving messages like the ones I send) and there's so much crappiness in the world that I figure lightening the mood around their birthday can potentially make a world of difference I could never manage otherwise.

thanks for your work. I like your D&D maps. I am curious about the meaning of some of the notes on your maps such as "hard area" and "victory area". Are these built for a certain kind of scenario?

Many of the D&D maps were developed for use with the D&D Miniatures game so they use the rules for that game. So in a sense they were built for battle scenarios under those rules.

It's really nice of you to even try but no worries, I may be heading to Arizona for FiestaCon (WesterCon) a couple weeks before SDCC is and that may be too many cons in a month anyway with my budget.
