My pleasure. Your work is very good. You do a terrific job of taking sometimes what looks to be an "average" landscape and compositing it into a beautiful photo. It's inspirational for someone like me, who lives somewhere that I biasedly think is beautiful (but probably "average" in most people's eyes) and would like to take gorgeous photos of the area to show it off. I'm only armed with a point n' shoot camera (it takes pretty hi res quality images in the right settings at least), but maybe with some practice and watching some of your work, I'll get there.

I think you are right.Β I always tell my students that it is not necessary to have an expensive camera to take good pictures.Β What is important is a full range of settings, (shutter and aperture).Β And even if the camera does not have a full range, with practice good pictures are possible in many situations.Β In my mind it is important to get the best you can out of the current equipment before buying more.Β In my experience, too many people buy a lot of equipment and then become overwhelmed with all the functions.Β Often they give up.Β So just keep on with what you have for now.Β And post those pictures of your area, I am sure many will find them interesting.

Really, it's my pleasure. Your monochrome photos are really great. I also like the angles you use to compose images. I live in an area with no monumental architecture, nothing older than 250 years or so, fairly rural by comparison to large metros (I don't have to drive far to hit farms), and not much in the realm of exotic nature, so I'd like to follow work of great photographers like you, and see if I can tune up my photos to make them more interesting through good composition.Β
