I'm a high school ceramics teacher and just joined Deviant. I've been experimenting with double walls lately and I LOVE that you throw yours upside down. What kind of tools do you need to get those intricate holes carved out? Wish I could see you throw in person!

Hi Peter,

The double walled pots are lovely and so intricate, they remind me of my ceramics tutors work. He is called Alan Whittaker who worked for Rosenthal before teaching, he was a really big guy that looked like he played rugby, I could never believe he created such delicate pieces.

Amazing work! You made me attempt the double walled vessel myself, but I get these orange juicers as a product. I was just wondering what you use to cut out your shapes and if you clean it up after you cut it or maybe it's just a one shot deal. I made a really simplistic pattern from my (I had a piece of paper that's length was equivalent the circumference of the piece than I just folded the paper in half enough times to make it into a snowflake-like cutting....) I was also wondering if you could explain how you make a pattern, like if you use software?... (sorry for asking, you must have explained it countless times) Thanks in advance for when if you reply!
