I didn't get the chance to thank you yet for the comment you left on my journal entry a while back. I appreciate your thoughts and advice and I couldn't agree more that it needs to be more than just family and friends that appreciate your work. I have been taking some of the steps you mentioned when it comes to getting a better handle on photography, although slowly, and I appreciate your encouragement to me to continue to do so.

Sometimes i feel quite down too. Like all my pictures suck and even if i take "better ones" than the guys of my space, im light years ago from the popular guys.
The key (i still don`t have a strong hold of it though) is to be able to shoot for yourself.
Don`t intend to shoot for DA or to make a present for someone. Shoot for the fun of it. For the challenge. Thats the bottom line.
Maybe its not art what you get. Maybe its not properly composed.
Be able to be critic but at the same time enjoy the product. Yeah, sure its kinda out of focus, or that wire disturbs a little bit. Next time you will be better prepared. Don`t discard the pictures just because they aren`t crazy cool.
Also check old pictures, they`ll show you if you`ve progressed or not.
The large comment i left on your previous journal was destined to you, however, i feel it could be for me too. Same with this one.
