# About me
PTJoana Machado nasceu em 1985 em Braga, onde reside e exerce a profissão de arquitecta, licenciatura que concluiu em 2008 no Departamento Autónomo de Arquitectura da Universidade do Minho.
Desde muito cedo se interessou pela fotografia. As primeiras experiências passaram pela fotografia analógica, mais tarde se interessou e dedicou à fotografia digital.
Em 2001 frequentou o curso de Iniciação à Fotografia Preto/Branco promovido pela Delegação Regional de Braga do Instituto Português da Juventude com a formadora Ângela Mendes Ferreira.
Interessada também por outras formas de expressão, como o desenho, participou na exposição colectiva “Riscos” na Torre de Menagem de Braga como aluna do Agrupamento de Artes da Escola Carlos Amarante em 2002 e na Exposição Colectiva de Pintura e Desenho na Galeria Arte d'artes em 2003.
Nos últimos anos tem desenvolvido e aprofundando os seus conhecimentos de fotografia e edição digital de forma autodidacta.

Joana Machado was born in 1985 in Braga, where she resides and exercises architecture, degree which she completed in 2008 at the University of Minho (DAAUM).
From an early age she became interested in photography. The first experiments were with analogue photography, later became interested and dedicated to digital photography.
In 2001 she attended the course Introduction to Photography Black/White promoted by the Delegação Regional de Braga do Instituto Português da Juventude with Ângela Mendes Ferreira as the teacher.
Also interested in other forms of expression, such as drawing, she participated in the group exhibition "Riscos", as a student of Arts of Carlos Amarante School, at Torre de Menagem de Braga in 2002 and in a group exhibition of painting and drawing at Arte d'artes Gallery in 2003.
In recent years she has developed and deepened their knowledge of photography and digital editing in a self-taught way.
