yea i love reptiles!! and i recently unlocked my love for pigeons... i think they're my Ultimate Pet Companion
but uh... i have 9 reptiles... or... i have 2 imitator dart frogs named Tim and Jim but i include them.  My two beardies are my children, i have a 2 year old female shes my first rep i would die for her.  and then i have a 7 month old red male dunner named Pepperoni...

then my 4 leopard geckos, Surfer Dude, Cresselia, Barbecue, and Lord Kylo
and my agricolae gecko named Asparagus!

ohh man i love all the species of geckos from new caledonia!! i have 2 crestie boys rn, one adult named freddy and
a juvenile that's yet to be named. their morphs aren't anything special but i love them to bits! i'm going to a rep expo
in early december and i'm so tempted to pick up a gargoyle or a banana ball python (tho i adore pinstripes too hh)...
basically i spend all my money on reptiles lmfao
i have a leo named chowder and my gf has one named gunther :^) i'll have to post a pic of them!
beardies are cool af my dude! they're basically just big scaley pancakes who love to cuddle up n watch tv w/ you

amazing!! i always love seeing pics of lizards...do you have any other snakes?? i used to half an albino western hognose but i recently gave her to a pal bc i realized she just wasn't for me..... not that i didnt adore her (she was so cute) but i didnt give proper handling time and my mom is afraid of them so i had to keep her hidden most of the time, which is unfair.  

beardies are so much work imo... like they're so popular now and so many people don't give proper care it gives me hives lmao... like people who say they're good beginners im like...... that's subjective.  they need much more space than what's advertised, their lighting (esp uvb) can get super expensive and then u gotta watch out for parasite blooms and buy fresh greens and live bugs which can be a pain to find if they're being picky... and an exotic vet is a must.

not currently unfortunately! 8^( i don't have the space in my room atm for a good sized
enclosure for an adult BP. i could get away w/ sticking another 20/30 gallon bin in my room somewhere for
a kenyan sand boa if i wanted to do one again! hognoses are awesome and they're def on my list of wants
but your experience is p common, they're usually little assholes and love to nip and hiss
sometimes they can be finicky eaters too bc in the wild they eat amphibians mainly and that can turn some ppl off
then again so can ball pythons tho lmfao and for some reason they're still the most popular snake..prolly cus of how
docile they are

ALSO TRUST ME I KNOW OK i work at petsmart as a petcare specialist and holy fuck some of the people are
so ignorant and uneducated when it comes to reps?? i refuse sales fairly often. someone asked me why their beardie wasn't
eating and when i asked for their temp they....they said 75..and i was so shook i was like are u kidding me
how are you 30 degrees off what temp they should have!! and the UVBs oh god don't get me started on how many
people not realizing their importance. beardies are such great beginner reps bc of how laid back they are but they're also
really unforgiving and can get super sick super easy if their diet/lights/enclosure is wrong. it makes me so sad hh

i had a whole future bioactive enclosure planned out for my hognose! but i just... it wasn't the right time i guess... I think snakes are cool, and im interested in having one long term theoretically.. like i planned to get some toads or frogs and start breeding them for my hognose lol... but as for other snakes, maybe in the future when i'm more prepared I'll get a red-tailed boa.  I just love those...

I got my adult female from Petsmart actually... tomorrow (black friday) 2 years ago!! it was a total impulse buy im ashamed to say... I had just recently discovered beardies for pets and i was like "YES! MUST GET!" a week prior and all i knew was that u shouldn't put them on sand and they obviously needed heat.  so i impulse bought a baby and one of their "starter kits" and... i did everything wrong at first... or i did things backwards.  I even picked the smallest, skinniest baby they had rather than the biggest, healthiest looking one.  and after i got her, THEN i researched and fixed my ways haha...

oh my god black friday was a nightmare for animal care today
this lady was so set on cohabbing two leopard geckos and i repeatedly /kindly/ told her no bc it wasn't a good idea
i've seen limbs ripped off, bitten and ripped off tails, males harassing females to death, etc
not to mention the passive aggression of "aww cute cuddling! lol lizards feel emotions!!!1" 
so originally she just left w/ one (she had a 10 gallon tank for it) and THEN THIS BITCH CAME BACK 2 HRS LATER FOR ANOTHER ONE
i feel so awful i really hope those geckos are okay people are so ignorant and selfish...why would u put 2 animals together that
are solitary in the wild except for breeding season... she only had one hide too despite me telling her mult times they need 2-3
or if u want to attempt cohabbing at least a 40 breeder w/ 2 hot hides, 2 humid, etc

on a lighter note tho i was showing a woman our juvenile cornsnake and i'm not kidding the corn shit right on her shoe LMAO

oohhhhh those are The Worst.... and like... people buying animals... and asking for advice on care... but not listening to advice bc THEY don't think that's how to do it even tho they're beginners... or for their own selfish desires.  drives me crazy.  lik e no pal, this isn't about you, it's solely for the animal you're about to dedicate however many years of it's and your life to.  do it right.

We're all the way up above Atlanta and we lost power for most of monday, we were out for a total of 18-19 hours and it flickered the rest of the time, didn't have internet the next day either -__-; Bad winds + a ton of freaking huge trees = a lot of power issues.

I'm glad things turned out well for your family, I was worried about you guys.
