Good for you. There's too many people who think of alcohol as their god-given right, or that a drug being socially acceptable means it's ACTUALLY a good thing. I mean - if alcohol was only just discovered now, there's no WAY it'd be allowed, anywhere.

It's not like it's even got many medicinal uses.

To clarify, I'm 100% sober since birth - I even avoid rum-flavoured chocolates Happy Birthday again, though! Hope you got anything you may have wanted, even if that's just 'a nice day.'

Four hours? Yikes. Though, (and this is coming from a guy who studies three hours after school Mon-Thurs and 8 hours on a Saturday) it could be worse, admittedly not on your birthday. That's always a bummer.

Lol, drunk on tiramisu That'd be hirious! Hey, your tablet wasn't an early birthday present, was it? Only after getting a tablet, it's hard to imagine anyone needing or wanting anything. Since mine is so soon after Christmas, I tend to say things like 'Birthday Presents? Ermmmm..... No thanks' because there will be absolutely nothing I'll be interested in. Well.. it was more like my parents gave me $150 for both Christmas and my birthday.
Naturally, I used some of it to get me a tablet, so yes, I suppose it's an early
birthday present for myself. Haha.

LOL I wish my parents gave me money But times are tough and I rarely buy anything, plus, if I ever do really want something, I only have to ask, no strings attatched - but I know my parents well enough to make sure that I don't do that too often lest I spoil the deal. I've about 2500 euro saved for College, which isn't a lot - especially where you are, from what I'm aware of, in the U.S there's a huge difference in fees - but it's enough to get me supplies, food, potential accomodation, you know - the necessities. So I think I'll be alright... providing my parents don't lose their jobs Which isn't exactly unlikely considering.

My brother says that you guys don't have to pay much for college. o:

As for me, the school I want to attend (art school) is $30,000 for tuition alone per year.
But I'm living off campus so that I don't have to pay $7000 for dorms (and $1500 per QUARTER for the required meal plan..)
since there's also fees for books and supplies and crap.

...sigh.

That's not entirely true Rather, we don't have to pay as much as you guys. A few thousand every year in this economy still hurts - and scholarships are unheard of. It could be worse I suppose. But I do know that compared to those 'over the pond' we practically pay nothing, which is odd, considering. It's like a tenth of the price :/

Yeah, but since our economy isn't entirely out of the crapper (they say we're supposed to be like this for another 10-15 years) either, it's still rough. Man. I'm not ready to be out in the real world. ;_;

..Yup. Meal plan as in you've gotta eat their food (or at least pay to) to be able to live in their dorms. But if you live in the apartment-style dorms, the meal plan isn't required.

BS. That's why I'm living off campus (plus, their standard dorms are literally motel rooms).
