Echoes in the NightOpen your eyes and see
I'm right in front of you
This time I am ready
An we will see this through
They try to tear us down
With their petty attack
But This time around
We've got our backs
They'll hear our call
All across this land
We will never fall
Making our final stand
And voices shall ring
All through the fight
Hail to the King!
Echoes through the night to your favourites!

Her boots
Soon were stuck
So she left them

Dry land
Just keep on moving
Was all she had planned
Between toes
Mud oozing,
Sucking
Her soles
And then something brushed
The side of her thigh
Startled Janet
Stood still
Wide of eye
Unkowingly
Something
Undid
Her jeans
But when they're jerked down
She knows
And she
Screams
Tries to flee
Escaping only

Ghost TrainHer train was late
But she got on anyway
Found a window seat
Outside
The sky
Dark grey
Rain against the window
Night
Not far
Away
So she turned her attention
To the others
On the train
And rapidly regretted
Her disinterest in
The rain
The train was two thirds full
But had crashed
Before she
Boarded
It's spirit held her now
At a hundred miles an hour
The ghosts that she sat near
Their deaths still unrecorded
But Emily could see
Injuries
To make her
Cower
“Anything from the trolley?”
A ghostly Attendant asked
Emily shocked at the normality
Said
“Um I think I'll pass”
So she waited for her station
Well
Any stop would do
But the train didn't slow
Each town it passed
Straight through
Until eventually
It passed through
Another train
And Emily's body
Was found
By the tracks
A stain.
Glad you're still around on DA.

As a Poet it seems like something I should worry about and as a Witch I'm serious about the cursing.
One of my ancestors (according to my Nan R.I.P.) claimed that Rudyard Kipling stole some of his poems. Considering Rudyard Kipling got real famous and my Great Great (hope that's the right amount of greats) Granddad didn't, seems like the sort of crime that should be taken seriously. Obviously I don't know how serious/truthful my Ancestor's claims were but there you go. Personally I'm inclined to believe him and submit myself as evidence of Poetic genius running through my family's blood. Lol.

Haha, well whether it be genetics or inherent skill, you are very gifted with words.
It did concern me though if I ever decide to publish them that they'd already be under someone's name. Otherwise I'd be more amused than anything else that they would want to pretend to be a writer of such tiny caliber as myself. Or pretend to be a neurotic bulimic with an inclination toward abusive relationships. I'll always be on this website though to continue to enjoy the talents of those such as yourself

In terms of copyright law Deviant Art counts as published. If someone claims your work as their own all you need is proof that you did it first, to sue their ass and DA tells you when any particular piece of work was submitted. So deleting work you suspected was already stolen was a dumb move on your part tbh. Though you might of course have other proof that it's yours. Dates on Word documents for example. It all depends on who can produce the earliest date.

Big Bad Brickie BonesA gentle giant
He was not
Bones he liked
To break a lot
In his basement
This large man crushed
Little children
Into dust
Starting with
Their toes
Then up and up
His hammer goes
And only he
Hears
Their screams
He's the last monster
In an ugly chain
He makes sure kids
Ain't
Seen again
After pedos
Have had
Their kicks
He grinds the innocent
Adds their bones
To bricks
That he uses in
His trade
Another way
The underage
Should not
Be laid!

A Night Among The DeadA hundred and fourteen years
Of people dying here
This hospital
I'm in all night
Must be full
Of things
That fright
I talk of course
Of ghosts
And some
Are worse
Than most
Like the living
I s'pose
But less likely
To knock.

Upon
The lurking undead
Outside
Our castle
Wall
We watched it fall

Looked like
Snowmen
The cold
Preserving them
Whilst we
Shivered around
Burning chairs and tables
Horses in their stables
Slaughtered
For our survival
Till spring
And the thawing
Of
Our murdered kin
Baying
For our brains!

A Ghetto in GermanyVerse 1 -
In a dark alley in old Berlin
where the West meets the East.
Old men huddle round fire barrels
with rags wrapped round their feet.
Footsteps crunching on broken glass;
green-clad watchdogs creeping past.
Chorus -
There’s a light in the window
in a ghetto in Germany.
There’s twenty-five color TVs
floating ‘round my head.
There's a man with a badge and bludgeon
cracking me a smile.
And I think both of us wish
that I were dead.
Verse 2 -
In a dark clinic in East Berlin
where nerves and cords are frayed.
Your pulse is marked by a blinking line
while the nurses bow and pray.
Footsteps echoing down the hall;
green-clad watchdogs heeding their call.
Chorus -
There’s a light in the window
in a ghetto in Germany.
There’s twenty-five color TVs
spinning 'round my head.
There's a man with a coat and a clipboard
cracking me a smile.
And I think both of us wish
that I were dead.
Verse 3 -
Cruising down the shattered Dresden s to your Favorites; I'm glad you enjoyed my work!

Just Another CreatureThe start of a new morning
As the blackbird starts singing
You will continue to walk
Under watchful eyes of the hawk
Send all the mice scurrying
As the eagle takes wing
Look at the river below
As the fish follow its flow
What will this day bring
As the branches begin to swing
In the early morning breeze
You walk on with ease
Knowing you have no fear
Strutting proudly like a deer
You follow your hearts yearning
On this path of new learning
Seeking knowledge from mother nature
Like all her other creatures and
A Place That is UnkindWandering around this dark dusk
Within a hollowed out husk
Where man should stand tall
Instead he let himself fall
Deep into the dark abyss
Somewhere you can go amiss
There’s nothing left here to see
Til he can set himself free
Looking inside himself he found
To this dark place he’s bound
All he wants is to be happy
Instead sadness is all he sees
Even now he sheds a tear
For he is filled with fear
For this place it is unkind
It’s a shame it’s his own mind to your favourites!
