O_O it is SO much better than MP2!
It skips over all the boring tutorial things that takes an hour in the beginning and tosses you straight into the fray- you don't even get warnings to the first two boss battles! (y'know, trail of bodies, big open area, ect.)

Apart from the scanner being a total pain in the ass when you're trying to get some little bug against a huge gate or something, aiming's much better.

side note: beat it in 14.sumthin' hours with 96% finished (needed to get the last four ship rocket expansions ((even though they don't do anything!)))
Sort of easy.. I'd recomend jumping straight into the hard difficulty rather than normal.

It took me 23 hours to beat MP1 the first time around. Even with the player's guide. >.>

Yeah... but there's less weapon things since it has that stackable-beam system. Don't have to find a bunch of missle-beam combos this time around.
Or beam expansion things (thank freaking Wally, that's what MP2 suck for me)
Plus, theres a spot where you can just learn where all the missle and energy tanks are on three planets. 
(That and all the areas that might've been difficult because of the generic enemies take like two seconds to walk through because you get the MP1 Phazon beam right off the bat. We all know how easy that thing is)
