You've caught me in a somewhat of a daze, so I can't say I'll give the most intelligent comments, but I'll try. Take a temporary thank you before I start commenting however.

and so it is, so it is angelinmydreams on that bench. well you couldn't of had a better model.
and let me tell ya, you're lucky to have so beautiful a partner as her. i've never actually seen her, but what little conversation we've had allong with her musings have convinced me of that.

and thank you very much for your comments. your comment about wether the glass is half empty or half full was a real eye opener. i never thought of it that way. thanks a bunch for the insight.

wow!
thanks for the super sweet note
and for adding me to your sig line
portraits are a good test of getting the inner person out
self-portraits are about reserve
and not letting too much escape
to mingle badly and give off hubris & self-consciousness.
in either event -
natural (or perefectly unnatural in a divine way)
is hard to capture.
but keep pressing the shutter,
it'll come out!

Thank you for commenting on two of my photographs and for the lil note you left on my page.
Now , I certainly'll be stupid but what's a Holga 120?
You know, I manipulate photos since a while but doing my own shots for not so long.
So every hint is highly appreciated.
k, gonna wander through your gallery
hopefully talk to you later

hi John
thanks very much for taking the time
to leave some especially thoughtful
and generous comments in my gallery.
particularly the note and the on
MAGNOLIA HEART 2 .
not to worry . . .
your work/expression is not fluff.
i am currrently bored out of my mind
and trying to figure out what to shoot next.
this is all a labour of love, not work
and not meant for me to throw myself on spikes.
you don't have to bleed to be open.
we'll all get there in time.
keep going . . .

hej man, thanks for your comments, too!!
i quite enjoyed doing something different with the windmill, maybe i'll do such shots more often in the future, just have to check out some nice motives. and the dark thing is a building actually, although i admit that it really doesn't quite look like one.
have a good time, lookin forward to see more stuff from you!

although my journal is pointing at another issue (you can't know about it, because everything happened in the forum and by note), i agree with yours. especially with that particular case you mentioned. i have no problem to say that i dislike *angelcurls ' personality, even though i do like some of her artwork. (i told her that with my previous account) i do not, however, like the arrogance that she displays. there is no 'best' deviant - art is taste. some people have more practice in touching up their stuff than others, but generally there are a lot of really talented people on devART.
i faved and commented on several of her works, and she never felt it would be good to comment back or even say thanks (only if i said something she disliked). in another occasion, i read a german user-comment of hers, talking shit about all the people who adore her work. that's just unbelievable.
if you pay attention, you will easily recognize that she is longing for respect from another few good artists. she is not interested in honest opinion about her work, that you can learn from her responses to negative comments. she's simply unable to agree with people who found flaws on her stuff. i am so sick of that kind of behaviour, i'm going to kick a few arses here and then get a new account.
i cannot say that earning respect is not one of my interests. but i know that i'm constantly learning through the comments i receive. once, i recognized that, by reading other's comments, i am actually learning myself how to comment, and by that i get another perspective on my own work, i pay more attention on certain details, such as the lighting, the composition, how small changes in the angle affect the whole picture and so on.
thus, i know of the importance of every comment that is more than just a 'cool' and i appreciate them a lot.
well, i'm talking a lot.... and propably not even to the point you made, i guess. but that is something that was on my mind, and i wanted to share it with you and with everyone who's interested enough in good, non-popular work to come to your page.
have a nice day, and thanks for the comments and support.
