hi! i have a question!
im repainting MH dolls as hobby
how do i completely recolour the body, can i do this with simple spray paint?

oh, thanks! though i know how to repaint,
i just dont know how to entirely change the body colour of a doll

You would need a sealant that will work on the harder plastic surface of the body, or you would need to sand the body down and clean it with pure acetone before sealing with stuff like Mr.SuperClear. It is most commonly done by layering with soft pastels. It usually requares several layers, unless you are looking to only do subtle colouring.

Otherwise you can simply paint the body with common spray paint or acrylics, but that would probably compromise the quality of the result. It depends on what you are making. Acrylics on non-sealed plastic will also most probably flake off as well, even if used with an airbrush.
Perhaps there is a kind of paint that sticks to hard plastic, but I haven't looked too much into it so I don't know. You can ask in your local hobby and art shops fo ralternatives. :) (Smile)
