Hey Alex! Thank you. People believe that most of my recent images are somehow related to books - illustrations mostly. Perhaps, that's because I read a lot. XD I should try to really draw for books sometimes.

Hi! Right now I have a huge to-do list. But as soon as I draw at least a part of those pictures I'd be glad to! If you don't mind waiting, we can agree on it right now. If you want me to draw fast though, I can write you as soon as I'm free and we'll agree on the trade then. So it's up to you. : )

Could you help me with advice? Soon I would like to start two projects: custom -made pony sculptures and MLP themed oil paintigs. Do you think that anyone would be interested in commissioning or purchasing something like that? My level of experience is not bad for such a purpose, IMO. I just wonder if I would find customers.

Neither of those projects are unique in that they've been done before and are still being done now by other artists. People commission and buy stuff like that just as they commission and buy regular digitally made images. So the matter is not whether what you're doing will attract people, it's how you do it and how you publicize yourself to get people to buy your work.
If you want to find customers, there are some different things you can do. You can join just about every group possible that would accept such works of art and submit to all of them everytime you get something out. This ensures that you will get a sizable amount of views and watchers each time you post something, even if only a few people from each group look at your work. I know a few people who are at where they are now (including one who does plushies/sculptures) because they submit to over a 100 groups for each deviation they make. When you're submitting to groups, do so strategically. If you go with the over 100 groups route, submit to them over time rather than all at once. Most likely the groups share members who will ignore your deviation if they've seen it in another group they're in. A gradual approach will maximize the amount of people who see your art. Eventually, you build up enough watchers so that even if you don't submit to a ton of groups, your own, now-built popularity will ensure you get some interested customers. This is maintained and ensured by getting a feel for what your watchers want to see and buy. Of course, go along with your own vision and path, but at the same time, send out journals and polls (you'll need a premium membership for that option) to get a feel for how you can adjust your style to a marketable, attractive form that will make people want to commission you. On the way to getting watchers, have several distinct and unique examples of your sculptures and paintings to advertise and show what you can do. Customers are more likely to commission someone they know can go out there and create something unique for them. Also, just reach out and talk to people. Talk to people who already make sculptures and paintings and get friendly with them. Perhaps they'll advertise you in the future. Looking at myself, I have about 20,000 views, which is a lot for someone who doesn't really make any art (I don't count my writing, it's been ages since I've posted anything). All I do is talk to people through the group I run, and the members look at me and watch me just for doing so. Anyway, the idea is to build up a network with your watchers and fellow artists who do similar stuff to reinforce a superstructure of popularity which leads to people commissioning you. Looking at your latest art, you clearly have talent and a great unique style, the only matter is getting you out there and in the spotlight!
I apologize for the really big comment if it surprised you. I didn't really mean to say all of that, it just kind of came to mind and I felt like sharing it all with you. I have a close friend who's like you in that he's really talented but a bit under-publicized. I wish he would take this advice, but eh, he does as he pleases. So that's the excuse behind that wall of text. Granted, the advice is not necessarily 100% accurate or solid, and I'm sure there's quite a few people who would disagree with me. Either way, I hope what I've said is useful to you and your original question somehow.

Wow! You don't have to apologize at all, because this is the most extremely helpful reply I've ever had, and I'm more than thankful for your time and effort! I will try not to follow the example of your friend and listen to this sound advice, because right now I really have to get a public. I moved to a new country, where I had no friends, no acquaintances, no networks; I have the opportunity to create life anew, but I am almost completely oblivious in the domains of personal marketing and advertisement. Besides, there is the financial question - my pocket money is barely enough to cover such things as some winter clothes and basic art materials. I will definitely try to implement everything you wrote here, and I feel like intermixing several methods will do the thing and start a chain reaction. Thank you once again for being so helpful! This is amazing.

Ahaha, I'm very glad I was able to be of some use to you! Fortunately for you, personal marketing and advertisement isn't that hard on deviantART. The advice I told you is actually just the basics; I don't know much more than that. So long as you focus especially on the groups part (it's really the only solid way of getting watchers if you don't have any outside website/resource that draws people to you here, and you automatically become part of their network), you should be fine in the short run. Of course, I guarantee no promises! You may find out as you try things that my advice falls apart in practice, so some ingenuity and creative thinking will have to occur on your own part when it comes to this marketing stuff. That and you can ask other people for help, but that may be difficult if you're afraid of being ignored or sidelined.
And yes, the financial part is difficult at first. Even when you start getting popular, the cost of shipping and mailing rates will become an issue if you're selling your sculptures overseas. But you can overcome such issues if things turn out well, which hopefully is what will happen. I do hope you have a grand old time making new friends in the meantime! I don't exactly enjoy the thought of moving to a new place with nothing familiar around me, so I commend you for holding up! Feel free to ask me for advice/help whenever you need it, I will try my best to aid you in your work.
And of course, thank you for the watch (see how I pick up these watchers just by talking? )! I have repaid you in full with a watch of my own!

Well, the basics are always better than nothing. I only had a vague idea about how to start, but now I can make a stable plan and work on it. One of my favorite music quotes (which references Eastern philosophy) says: "Action brings good fortune". Even if the exact plan doesn't work as intended, it will inevitably bring some benefits.
I used to live in a tiny European country before, but I now live and study in the US, so I worry much less about shipping! Art is MUCH more appreciated here, and people are richer than in my home country - more can afford to spend money on things that bring them aesthetic pleasure.
I will be happy to speak with you in the future! I love discussions and debates, and I know a lot about Russian and Moldovan cultures. Besides, I travel a lot, so I have many stories to tell! : ) I hope that you will find me an interesting interlocutor.
Yes, this is indeed a very convenient way! I can't help but notice how important communication is in human relationships, even the virtual one. Moreover, it is a very fun process!

Mmm, "action bringing good fortune", I like it!
Ah, you live in the U.S. now! I'm from the West Coast in California, but I guess we're still U.S. residents overall! And yes, America tends to have more wealth lying around, so people tend to be able to afford the nice things in life. Seeing as how you know about Russian and Moldovan cultures, I assume you were from Eastern Europe? Either way, it seems all of the people I meet on dA nowadays know a lot about or are from Russia. Digressions aside, I certainly do think you'll be quite the interesting interlocutor; I like to meet multicultural people!
Internet is so nicely convenient for us all! And it is very fun! Lots of things you can do that you couldn't in real life. Though to be honest, I usually prefer my conversations and meetings to be in person, but life dictates that I meet people online.
