# About me
I am a middle-aged woman, mother of two, wife of one, published poet, Sci-fi and graphic novel nerd, learning everything I can in the arts. I hope to eventually work as a professional artist and educator. There are good art days and bad art days, but the more I practice, the better the days.# Comments

Thanks Giles. The pursuit of making money (work) means I don't get as much art and writing done as I'd like. I do have my first book of poems coming out next year from a publisher. Thanks for the encouragement.

It is slow, jogging along against the realities that are always there, those darn 'practicalities'.. Particularly challenging to the artistic spirit, but it is the key to life to balance them.
A whimsical group of classical musicians in Britain created music that the groups leader was inspired of from a dream. In his dream an entire planet was populated with people (who here on earth are exceptionally rare) who combine both natures in deep rich balance. In his dream he was in a place called the Penguin Cafe. Later, when he would 'feel' moved by the sense he'd had in this dream he'd write poetry based on the sense. Later some of his friends joined with him in making music [AND one incredible dance + other media BBC/PBS production taking up the cause for protecting animal species on our planet].
They called this music "music from the Penguin Cafe".. which is the name of the group. There are several albums. And they ARE whimsical.
I look forward to seeing your book of poems. That is most exciting to anticipate I'm sure. And some ordeal too.
Here is my shortest poem:
"A song or story is like a kiss. Which either saying all, does little. Or, saying little does all."
I wrote it when I was very young and barely knew what I was talking about. But I had a lot of feelings!
