Have seen some of the posts about you trying to revive it, would be nice to see it come back. I was part of a small group of people who were fans of the show about a decade or so ago (I just realised how long that was and now i feel old...) They kind of fizzled away eventually. Although I am still friends with one of them on facebook who also did a lot of fanart of the show back then, he also asked me to draw some fanart of it one day (I believe the drawings are still on my old deviantart account...) they were terrible drawings but also my first time drawing since I was about 8, (I was 15 i think,) anyway I didn't stop drawing since and now 10 years later here I am trying to make some sort of career out of my work. It's still a work in progress

Sorry, there's a little bit of history/story about my experience with the show lol.

I have a couple of Undertale fanart pieces as well which I'll be getting up here at some point over the next few days after I  have cleaned out the abomination that is my gallery... hopefully....

Woah, yeah, when I got hit by "BD fan power and will to reviving" I looked all over the internet and found stuff and posts on Shipmanifesto or a a blog for example. But why didn't this group exist any longer ? Can I contact them so we can apply it to this new group that is getting bigger and bigger (4 new fans this week ; you see, I advertise and talk about the show, the game and the project to anyone who commented or liked a post on DA or Tumblr, even Twitter. Maybe that was the secret)

I didn't draw the BD ones when I was 8, I meant that they were the first drawings I had done SINCE I was about 8. I did the BD drawings when I was 14 or 15, the painting is awful as well, I don't know why i chose that pose, I  think it was inspired by another picture I saw (not a BD one) but can't remember!

The group still exists I think, it was on an old blogging site called LiveJournal which not a lot of people use anymore. I haven't been on it in years. My friend was doing what you are doing in a way, he was drawing a BD webcomic and did amazing drawings from the show that looked exactly like the shows characters. Unfortunately Nelvana did not give him permission to continue with the comic and he wanted to draw it legally with permission, so he stopped working on it and the group kind of ended after that. This was before Facebook and Twitter's popularity so social media wasn't really a big thing back then (I spoke to most people on MSN messenger, oh the memories!)

I still search for BD occasionally as well, not as often as back then, but I have found a few neat things online, there's a fanfiction series on Wattpad I am in love with but he/she hasn't added a new chapter in over a year! (Which is a pet peeve of mine, I hate when people don't finish fanfictions!)

Lol, thanks but a lot of the stuff in my gallery is over 2 years old now and so has to go. The stuff I work on now is so much better as (hopefully) you will see very soon if you watch my gallery, the dragon I uploaded last year is one of my favourite pieces so far though, but I do love a painting of Asriel I did last year as well.

Yes, this account. I found the art a year ago and fav'd 3 of those. They're not bad, and I like the painting it's romantic.
How sad... But yes, I found some of those stuff on the internet. This friend was peeweewi, right ? I met him on FA, he's a pal, he loves my art and is happy to see I try to make the franchire more popular too. Too bad he doesn't draw anymore about it, I loved his drawing style and he never finished his "fan episode" ; also he was the one who won the contest I made for the cartoon's anniversary^^

Nooooo, never delete ! It gives you nostalgia when you look at it, it reminds you what it took you to progress and that the favs and comments back then encouraged you, and it feels good when you still get a fav from something that is 2-3 years old !
And that dragon is beautiful indeed, the colors are so warm, and he is so cute !
Naaaaah, I can never shut up either XD

Well, I admire peeweewi's previous work to try to give the franchise golden letters, and am saddened by his failure, but I encourage him not to give up, as the ways evolved and social medias are now more helping than before, and I encourage the old fans and new fans to UNITE !!!

Lol, thanks, I have actually forgotten the log in details for my old one so can't see what people have faved and commented on. I'm glad someone likes the painting at least, it just looks weird to me. If I had time I would be tempted to do new BD fanart, but with art being a job now it's difficult to find time to do art for myself that I don't intend on selling.

Yeah that's his username, we were quite good friends back in the day (at least I considered him a good friend.. I can't speak for him obviously lol) we still exchange likes and comments on facebook occasionally but don't talk regularly anymore, which is sad. His drawings were great, he's been really supportive of my artwork as well when we have spoken. I definitely wouldn't say he failed, he was doing incredibly well and the webcomic was becoming increasingly popular, the issue was that Nelvana said that he couldn't legally do the comic due to copyright and he respected that and dropped it, I remember him being incredibly upset about it.

You should feel guilty about not finishing fanfics,especially if it's one I read and enjoyed.

I have already deleted a lot of stuff off my gallery lol but kept old ones that I am still somewhat happy with or had more faves than I thought (like that god awful Tardis painting.)

Unfortunately I don't get summer holidays anymore.
I have him on Facebook and we leave each other comments and likes here and there so it's fine lol, just miss the conversations that went on for hours when I was probably a very annoying 15 year old lol. (I am 25 now)
FA is personally not my type of website.

Fanart, as popular as it is, is technically illegal without permission from the original creator (hence why I respect Toby Fox's request and only sell prints of my Undertale works at conventions and don't list them on my Etsy store) The chances of you getting in trouble for selling the work is incredibly unlikely unless you are making a lot of money from it though, but you do have to be careful, there is a fair use policy which if you ever plan on selling fanart is worth researching.
I think the issue was that because he wasn't going to make money from the comic we believed Nelvana would be ok with it, but nope.

Yes, I know, which is why my mother forbed me for years to make a Tumblr and a DA. Personally the scriptwriter and the animation director love my fanarts but they're obviously not the creators, and the creators never answered my mails (Terry got dementia just the year I decided to talk to him, and Gavin must have a grudge against BD as it was his creation but he got fired of the project). I think I will have to become rich to buy the rights But anyway I never plan to sell fanart, my own morality cannot sells something that isn't mine.
Fuck Nelvana, they don't even like the show, when will they give its fandom and the franchise a break !

Lol have thought about messaging a lot of online friends who I have lost contact with but social anxiety tends to prevent me from doing it.

Some companies take advantage of fanart and even encourage it, it's free advertisement, but more often than not the big bosses/creators will be against it.

Probably safer to not sell fanart lol, I only sell them at conventions really but have a few on my etsy.

I really loved the fanfic, there's a lot of FlickerxFlame moments in there which is probably why i love it lol, near the end there's a story on how they first met which was a nice read.

Yeah, season 2 wasn't as good as season 1 though unfortunately, I still enjoyed it but not as much as the first.

That fanfic series is full of feels, so is the Wattpad one. I really hope they haven't given up on it. I'm a bit of a sucker for those types of fanfics lol.

I don't like that they diminished the roles of some characters in the second season, or got rid of them all together.) but I did like that they added more of a focus on other knights, and their quests.

It makes them different from the show, but it's also an improvement I think, a lot of the fics I have read stick very close to the original characters mannerisms and personality, but also add their own character development (i.e. a common one I have seen in some BD fanfics is the author writing about Loungealot actually caring about Flicker in some way, which I like to think he does deep down...) The show was a cartoon for children though, so didn't really need these touches back then when we were children.

Yeah that one was sad, but do keep going, It gets better, i think episode 10 is when you get some back story and is probably my favourite in their series.

Remember, in the episode in which Flicker becomes Geoffrey's squire, when what would have killed Flicker is falling in his direction, Loungelot genuinely shouts "FLICKER !" I headcanon he'll become the tsundere uncle taking care of the others' children when they're away, acting like he gives 0 fuck but liking them^^
