Yes i have heard of the desktop cleaning doovie in windows XP. But i prefer to manage my own icons! not some program that screws it all up.

Yeah there are a few programs out there that can replace the shell (explorer) under Windows, LiteStep just being one of them.
The replacement shells can be kind of a pain in the butt, but they're a nice change of pace.
