It's like... Harry rests for a while and leaves his wand and his glasses on the table. Like he knows he has a difficult job to do: to kill Voldemort, and he leaves it all behind for a second just to think of something else... But the shadows of the picture show that they haunt him, no matter what. I hope you got the meaning!
On the other hand... Well, if you read the book, I'll tell ya! I don't want to spoil anything...!

Hey, this is amazing!! It's not what I thought when I took the photo, but your imagination is amazing! I really like this meaning.
My real meaning that I tried to put into it is melancholic and nostalgic. It's basically my sadness that the books have ended after being a part of my life, of my childhood, for such a long time. I cried so hard after finishing the 7th book. Not because I didn't like the end or because I was sad that my favourite characters died. But because I knew that "this is the end". Same with the movies. Only one more to go...
Also I miss my childhood a lot. And these are the glasses that I wore as a kid, when I was even more obssessed with HP than I am now. So maybe that's the second meaning.
But anyway the meaning YOU gave it is so great!!
I read the book, of course!! Like, three times? Haha!

I get what you mean. I was so sad when I ended the 7th book... (read it twice!) I was processing the characters again and again in my head, the way they turned out. They grew up like us reading about them.
My other meaning to the photo is that maybe it's a shot after the defeat of Riddle (I SO enjoyed the scene when Harry calls him just... Tom), and Harry feels relieved and he finally leaves his wand and his glasses and rests...
I totally agree with everything you said. Well, don't think it's over. Everyday I read about something new in the life of every character of the books. And I feel like nothing's over. So, don't be sad... Those books live in our hearts
