OMG YOURE ARE SO SWEET! I personally tend to kind of find my own characters dull and I can never seem to get their personalities juuuuust right. I also looked at other people's app (because I'm super nosy and wanted to see people's designs x9) and I love so many of their character designs! Like I love your character and the character duke and naomi and dieago and ebony so much!!! Like, not gonna lie, I keep going to your guys pics and rereading the characters Info's.

I'm super nervous about the whole "only 25 spots" and if they have to choose between certain characters they are going to pick the character that's the strongest and will be able to fit with the plot well! I'm worried that a prank loving, active, foul mouth, signing child could possibly not fit very much. Also, calebs not the same personality at me
(/ o A o\) I'm gonna struggle so much with his over the top charisma that is suppose to make him popular but not pompous! *slowly dying*

For your character I love how they are a demiboy and his dad is just like, "that's chill." On top of it they come out of the closet and their dads like, "bro, have a fun braclet that supports you!" Plus it's cute that they are totes like a "mama" figure to peers. My best friend is very much like a "mama" figure to me and her friends so I totally understand them and see them as -well- a real human! It's so neat!

tbh i totally get that, but i really believe that caleb is a super interesting kind of character? ESPECIALLY bc his family are all deaf and how he likes sign for a lot of things??? like that's honestly so cool esp bc the attitude he gives off you'd never expect him to know stuff like that but he DOES and it just shows all the human layers!!!! it's super rad!!! and all the other characters are AWESOME TBH,,, and same, i've been kinda searching them up and seeing who would get along with who if we all got in and it's so fun to think about!!!

but same tbh,,,, it's really nerve wracking tbh!! but i really think caleb would get in personally? he does have a strong character and a very interesting concept!!! it's super awesome and i'd personally watch a documentary just to see caleb lmaO... but yeah, chai and i aren't really similar either? i'm a hothead while they're very tame, and it's nice in a way, but it's also hard bc my immediate response to anything stressful is Anger but his is more "oh, ok!!"

AAAA THANK YOU!!! yes, his dad is... super chill, i love him to bits!! the family dynamic for them is really special and i really like it a lot tbh. AND YES!! chai is such a mom, it's not even funny. he acts five times his age sometimes and it's so funny bc he gets worried and has to be Parental. it's super cute. I have a deep love for sign language and tend to use it a lot when I'm by myself or within the deaf/hard of hearing community. For years I wanted to be an ASL interpreter but discovered how difficult of a life as an interpreter is. So I'm proficient in speaking it and attend deaf events (plus have my own sign name which is an awesome story and a big deal to me xD). The asl idea came in later because I wanted to be a curing child so badly. To be, he totes seems like he has that personality and the thought process of, "how can he curse like a sailor without one of two things occurring? 1. too much punishment from councilors and 2. peers wouldn't want to be near him because he curses so much." And the ball began rolling from there. It's gonna be fun to actually teach signs via caleb to people who don't know sign! So that's exciting xD OMG ME TOO!!! I like to see how Caleb would act with certain characters and why! It's funny because it seems like half of the people applying have SUCH ARTISTIC characters and calebs like, " art...." I totally can see myself drawing a picture later of caleb complaining to a camera about how the camp seems to be divided into two groups. The "arty people" and the "active people" xD Like, even Chaika is a doodler! and paints nails! AND GUTAIR! WHY IS GUITAR OR UKULELE NOT IN HIS INVENTORY! When I went to camp, there was always a kid who brought a ukulele or guitar and would play at campfire. It made campfire so much fun xD

I feel like Chaika would! He's a Polynesian (or I think he is since he was born in Honolulu and speaks the language?) mature, mellow, motherly loving, guitar playing, demon lovin', may speak a Hawaiian language (is there only one or is there more than one??? Do you know a Hawaiian language?! because that's totes cool! #neverbelol ), anxiety prone demiboy! Like that's totes cool! One of my old friends suffered from major anxiety and would have to leave just to breath and calm down. Whenever people tried to follow her, I always stopped them. When someone's having an anxiety attack, I noticed they tend to calm down better when they recollect themselves or turn to a REALLY good friend for aid. Chaika is so complex! And it's neat to see that his positive traits also influence his down fall! Like, he's mellow, kind of quiet (idk if he is quiet but with the motherly figure personality I noticed most of them tend to be on the quiet side which makes them gentle and trust worthy like), and motherly like which could easily be mistaken for a very passive, push over type of person. Dang, idk how Hawaii is but in cali poor Chaika would totes be ignored by the large population of high school students. I totes see Chaika as a drama student in high school xD "the only normal one among the strange". lol! See a wild caleb in his natural state of too much sparkles before trying to get a hold of a camera so he can dissect it and put it back together again. All in the name of science! I FEEL YOU SO MUCH! Caleb's a logical thinker, like my own mother, and as a result he can't handle emotions or other's emotional states and walks away! I'm not like that! I'm such a feeling person! Chaika is sooooo mellow~ Like dang. Even handling a stressful situation he's just, "oh, okay!" like what! *flips a table* I wish I could be so mellow!

I mean come on! His dad worked harder just to try to get Chaika to go to camp purely because they really wanted to go! That's super cute! Pfffff, Caleb may enjoy being around Chiaka but I feel like Chiaka would be so stressed around him xD

oh wOW!!! thats so cool tbh??? like i have ocs that speak asl but i'd have to learn irish sign if i wanted to start using it, but my hands are really shaky so i'd have trouble with it tbh. honestly the idea of caleb teaching the other kids words in sign WARMS MY HEART like can u imagine... THE BONDING.... !!!! but omg chai doesn't even take doodling seriously he just likes to scribble bc it's really fun and relaxing for him. like.. he brought his exploration journal with him and it's full of writing in english and in hawaiian, and it's got tons of leaf rubbings and pictures and other cool things... i'm honestly so excited to see if i get in so he can use it bc he'd love it tbh. BUT I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF PUTTING HIS UKE IN I NEED TO DRAW IT AND I M NOT GOOD AT DRAWING INSTRUMENTS!!! he's really excited to use it tbh!!!

and yes he is polynesian, he speaks hawaiian and a bit of pidgin, which is the hawaiian slang language! his dad and him talk strictly in hawaiian bc his dad wants him to embrace his culture, and he grew up for the first few years of his life there! but no i don't actually know the language, lmaO. i can barely speak irish, and i've been learning it for over ten years ;v; i'm not entirely sure how chai's attacks work, but since he's not aware that he actually HAS anxiety, it's going to be very interesting tbh. he is definitely a quiet sort, he likes to listen more than actually talk!!! but yeah he'd be totally pushed over and ignored by a lot of people. he lived in jersey and he kind of had troubles with friends there too tbh. but he'd LOVE to join the drama club tbh! he wants to use the camp as like a first push towards drama tbh. but omG... caleb... taking a camera is so funny to me i can imagine him hunched in a corner examining it and one of the counsellors comes by like "....CALEB,, FFS.." BUT YES OMG,,, i get that as well bc i actually can do the same thing esp if i get overwhelmed by the emotions!!! POOR CALEB THO he's gonna have a Time in camp...

YES!!!!! and chaika helped and it was PURE!!! i love them both so much? like honestly chaika's dad just wants his kid to be comfy and to actually have someone to turn to because he doesn't have a lot of friends, and he thought it took a lot of cuts for chai to come out to him gender and sexuality wise, so ofc he's very accepting and works hard for his kid!!! but omg,,, chai would wanna be his friend tbh.... in Awe bc of caleb's tattoos tbh, he would think caleb is the Coolest

pfffff, it'd only be a bonding moment if the kids actually want know asl. besides that, he'd just sign and move on with his life not caring xD STILL! that's totes a form of artistic ability! Like they have a FULL journal of leaf pics/rubbing, colors, pics, and other stuff! Like caleb wouldn't have a patience for that xD he'd just borrow a nature book from the library and use that for info. THAT'S SUPER COOL! idk, before my sister discovered that she has sever anxiety attacks (like takes meds and everything for it) she said she always felt really anxious and couldn't breath or think and just needed to run away to a comfort spot but I know people experience anxiety differently. So it'll def be interesting to see how that plays out. awww, poor chai, I feel you bro, I feel you *soft cries* hopefully camp will help you! Maybe camp will have drama related activities! My camp did. I wasn't good at them but always loved them! I have a hardcore feeling that caleb's going to mostly be stuck in punishments than actual camp activities. Especially if caleb gets placed in either bo's or james cabins xD he'll literally just feed off of their energy and respond similarly to them xD If he's with bo, he'll be super active and kind of ADHD status xD (idk, I feel like he already has that lol), with James he'll be more of a mischief person.
