hey i know this question is personal but i would like to know how it feels to be asexual,i always get hung up on guys that i like and they like other girls,and it just makes me sad. So i was wondering how it feels for you not having that feeling.

sorry for the late reply! let me use a small example. Its like looking at a cup, you know its a cup and acknowledge its cupness, but thats it. I look at guys and girls and acknowlege that they are good looking or attractive in their own unique way, i just dont feel any sexual attraction to them. you can still find people attractive when you are asexual, i'm just not interested in physical relationships with people like kissing and sex. I am attracted to peoples minds and the way they think. lots of people think asexuals are these emotionless people but we are also unique just like everyone else whether gay, straight, trans, etc. remember that every asexual just like heterosexuals, are different. hope it helped!

Okay so like you said you love but for a persons mind not body right? Well i actually can relate. I am still very very young (12 almost 13 to be exact) I kinda hurt and picked on this boy,(Not saying names) and i only picked on him because my friend hated him and he annoyed her, she was not one to stand up for herself so i did. He was in orchestra but from another school in the district. So last school year, he was in my class and soon enough i stopped picking on him and we became friends. He was smart, but he acts stupid.He is a geek like me and we love anime. Then i did not realise until our orchestra only feild trip to six flags, that i liked him, i liked him for his mind and soon after his looks.
(This part is not relevant to my point but it is important to my story,)
The last day of school comes around and we have a school dance.I go up to him and ask even after all i put you though, why did you stay?
He is so embarrassed he can't look and says i don't know.
That is the last time i saw him and now i know he likes me!
so back to my point, i know you don't feel sexual attraction but we all have different ways to love. I think it is really cool that you don't need good looks to love someone. You are living proof that natural selection is not always why we like someone.I left out a lot of details so your eyes don't burn trying to read this.
