Oh! Where from? I found the LOAD project, but the models are mostly 3Ds, and LightWave doesn't cope well with that :/

i see. i never used lightwave before...3ds file is okay with 3dmax,,,i just need to input new materials for the model which takes more time.

3ds files are usually very messy meshes when I import in LightWave, so I need to spend hours if not days just to clean up a model. And THEN I can go about assigning materials and surfaces to the different parts. 
Where do you get the models though?

yes, 3ds files are really messy, i need to group them part by part according to the assigned material. i get models anywhere.just type in "free 3d models" in your yahoo or google search,, en voila! that's what i usually do.

some are just concepts. few are real.. but if i will compare the actual projects from the conceptual design.. i would prefer interesting concepts,, but not all clients appreciate it,,, some prefer the standard, the usual design... too bad

How much does a single room takes to design and create in 3Ds max?
and do you unwrap? or just v-ray materials?

hmm design probably in an instant if you have overflowing creative juices,, creating it in 3dmax could take 1hr to 2hrs,,its the rendering time that is quite long depending on the resolution of your image,,, anyway yup
