Hello! I sent you a message on youtube under the name "tigergokat13" but I seen that you had a link to your DA so I thought I would introduce myself here. I love your models! I hope I can get better at modelling~ It's one of my weaker points~ Do you know of any online references or tutorials that are good for a beginner like me? I'm in college so I will learn eventually, but it might be cool to be ahead of the game! I only work in Maya for 3D stuff so far, toon boom for 2D.

You should check out this guy on youtube, [link] this tutorial is for basic edge flow of facial modeling but he's got a bunch more tutorial vids and they're all pretty great.

Looks like a fun character to model. If you could provide a front and side T-pose similar to this [link] I could get a start on it (the pictures have to line up pretty accurately, especially the face). A back view and any smaller details would also be good to have for reference. Don't worry too much about the payment for now. I'm not strapped for cash or anything so whenever you can get it together, that's fine. I will say though that I won't deliver the final product until payment is received. I can also provide updates on the progress. Just one question about the design though. How can his sword drag on the ground if it's that short?

Hey man, good to hear you're doing well. I just want to make sure you realize that I can't do this job for you for any less than $500. The render I did was quick and easy only because I used the model of "Link" I already had finished. I just changed the texture on his boots. If you want the camera to pan up and see the whole person, I'd have to model, rig, and texture a completely new character and that's a lot of work just for the pre-production, not including the animation. That might seem like a lot but it's actually a pretty cheap price considering the quality of the work involved. If you go to a website like www.turbosquid.com they have a library of models there and some range in the thousands of dollars for just the model, no rigging or animation. I understand you're probably on a tight budget but them's the breaks. If you're still interested even after all that I'd love to see some character designs.

Thank you for the comment. About your question though, that would depend entirely on the subject matter and whether or not you would pay a commission fee.

I wasn wondering if you could make video of water moving before the camerea moves to some grass to two metal boots walking dragging a swoord along the grass, before showing 2 piercing eyes before cutting to the words simply beautiful fading the screen to black.

yeah, sorry man, that's a lot of work to do for free. It may not seem like much but it takes a lot of preparation to do something even as simple as that.

I could probably do a still shot of one of those elements. That wouldn't require any animation or rigging. That's about the best I can offer pro bono

Okay, I'll do one of those images, the boots with the sword or the two eyes. You've got to tell me which one you'd rather have and provide me with some specifics. Colours of things, details, etc. Don't expect it to be photo realistic though.

I love it! May I ask how much it would be to turn it into an nmation like from right there up to the face and eyes closing. If i could, could i pay 5 or 10 dollars a week? starting next friday?

I appreciate your enthusiasm my friend, but you seem to be a little in the dark as to how much people pay for this kind of work. A typical freelance animation fee can range anywhere from $50.00-$100.00 an hour or more depending on the complexity of the job. The only reason I did this for free was simply because I already had a model I could use for the shot with a few small edits. If ten dollars a week is all you can afford I don't think I can consider doing this job for you. Feel free to use the a fore mentioned image as you see fit, without crediting me. Good luck with your future endeavors.
