hello fellow 3d deviant, I have to say that I love your entire 3d gallery. I just had to add you to my devwatch list. P.S. I heard that you got a curropted file in 3d max for your battleship. anyways I had the same problem but this is what i did to fix it.
>>create new scene
>>use the "merge" under the file menu, and import only the most basic geometry, (ignore any bones or fancy things)
>>this method works about half the time.
