Nobody really has friends anymore because we are all too stressed out to do anything social and all friendships that we have are based on jokes about our mutual suffering but hey! Oh i thought you wouldve had a lot of friends by now lol. Maybe portlanders are just unfriendly...but yea i really like the fencing team....mostly because my senpai is so good at it haha. And well, ive been playing the phoenix wright games for a good two years or so now, so naturally id know about the anime and such. I think its kinda poorly made but ill keep watching it anyways because im a nerd. But, of course theyd use his japanese name right? I mean the anime is in japanese, so he would be naruhodo instead of phoenix and stuff...i cant believe another game is coming out in september too tho like when will it end. It is a bit weird since we are used to the localized names. Its particularly weird since his name is naruhodo which is already another japanese word that i associate with everyday speech, so its kinda weird as a name. Yea apparently one of the main characters is getting married in this next game??? too bad that the layton series is officially completely cancelled. Remember the time when you like, hated layton games for some reason? But yeah, miracle mask was interesting. Actually i was rewatching the cutscenes from that the other day to see if i could recognize any fencing techniques, since i had a tournament coming up. I lost to senpaii really badly but i won against a bunch of other people but that doesnt matter so yeah. It is definitely completely strange to talk to you as if we were suddenly friends and i have no idea how or why it is happening but hey its whatever man. And i am studying japanese on my own time but i couldnt take it as a school course this year because i already had too many. So the next three years i will be taking it. The japanese room is actually a broom closet and there are only like ten people in the class and the teacher brings in curry and stuff for us. it will be very nice. I think i mightve accidentally overbooked my schedule for next yeart tho lol. I also definitely overbooked my summer schedule...it will be just like school but really hot outside....Ive always tried to do too much at once tho i guess.

oh yeah!! I've heard naruhodo used in anime before as a regular word, but we haven't learned it in japanese class yet. what does it mean, do you know? oh god please dont tell me that phoenix is marrying maya ewwww! honestly I just didn't like professor layton cause I was a little jealous that it was tearing you away from our little felt roleplay party group thingie and i was like super clingy about that stuff man im sorry about that, i was bein kinda a jerk. also, is the fencing they do in professor layton actual fencing moves and such or no? could you beat froshel or randall? its so cool to study japanese! how much of it do you know? i assume you definitely know katakana and hiragana (i mean, duh) but how many kanji and vocab and stuff do you know? i only know 147 kanji and about like 400 vocab words, so I still have a waaaay long way to go. but my japanese class is super tiny too! theres 11 people and we share a classroom with the chinese class. the teacher is so nice and she brought us onigiri at the beginning of the year! lol im way too obsessed with japanese class i have like 103% cause i study way too much like the freaking nerd i am XD jeez, what classes are you taking to fill your schedule up like that? i can barely find enough interesting classes to fill out my eight periods. plus summer school? wow! are you trying to graduate junior year or something? man, it really is just like you to work yourself so hard.

yea, naruhodo normally is just a phrase of agreement kinda like "oh I see," so its super weird as a name, but I guess the kanji is different so it means something else. and from the clues we've been given by Capcom, its definitely not maya and phoenix. Its either edgeworth (which could be bad depending on who he would be marrying), larry butz (which is hard to believe), or gumshoe and maggey (everyones pretty sure its them since they have canon crushes on eachother). and yea, I already knew why you didn't like it originally I just thought it was a little funny. but! if we talk a lot about what happened in the past things will probably get awkward fast so...also yes, the Layton fencing is somewhat accurate, the moves are all real moves generally but they don't tend to follow a lot of the rules. I could probably beat frosh or randall, yeah. Supposedly im one of the best out of the freshman and will most likely become captain of the team eventually so that's cool. its fun wearing the uniform and stabbing people without actually hurting them lol. and yeah Japanese is super cool, but I haven't had any free time this year to teach myself much (I mean, look how much I haven't posted). idk how many kanji I know, I have a dictionary for if I need to look them up and I usually just use that! as for next year I will be taking 3 honors and 1 AP college class, as well as two technically honors languages (French and jap). I was also recommended for a videomaking/journalism class so I might take that too. im actually not planning on graduating ahead, I guess I just want to push myself as much as i can since ive never found a breaking point and there isn't much else to do with my life. as for summer im going to be working, volunteering at the zoo, taking summer gym and some AP classes, and some math classes just to be ahead. as well as some courses at the actual highschool. Im hoping to teach myself german also, but I might not have time since I still have to go to senpais house to learn how to be a group leader for dungeons and dragons and I also have boxing training, fencing, and extra karate training since im entering the world competition this summer in Washington d.c. Also I got a dog and hes smol and fluffy. I wanted a shiba inu but they aren't family dogs so we got a yellow lab. misha occasionally just walks over to my house and spends an hour petting him and then leaves?? like ok. typical misha. basically a lot has changed and I have no idea what im doing with my life but I sure am doing a lot of things.

BUT there were only six players on the team so i still got to be in the starting five cause i was only the second worst. we had a six foot tall girl!! she was so tall and she is my new rival now instead of sarah price. it sure seems like a lot has changed for you, and maybe for me too? idk highschool is basically just insane lol.

Eh, its more similar to yappari now that i think about it, but you get the jist. It would certainly be nice if its phoenix and edgeworth but because of heteronormativity and stuff its unlikely they will ever fully canonize that, even though the directors have already stated that they like eachother and they are actually based on bl manga characters lol. And im assuming i could beat one of them, even if just by luck, seeing as ive already scored a few points against the captain of the fencing team and such. Yea, some stuff from karate is helpful in fencing but other things i had to relearn because they are detrimental to fencing. Its weird. D and D is very fun, we do the weirdest stuff possible and make sure its never actually a serious game haha. I mean, my character is named david bowie sensei sama senpai san kun- the mighty. Theres no room for seriousness there lol. And as for the zoo ill mostly be doing tours and presentations and working with the smaller animals/reptiles. Itll be interesting! And actually i did know that you read all of one piece (although i cant believe its not over yet). Its such a longgg series...at least naruto finally ended even though the ending was weird but hey! Yea karate training is intense now...and yes, finny is a very nice dog, he likes to sleep on me and licks everything haha. Jagu doesnt really know how to deal with him yet, but every so often jagu will come over and bat at finnys tail to torment him. And yeah i still have all that stuff from you, i dont really throw things away so i have a lot of old things from myself or others eheh...yeah ive been meaning to look into crossfit, it seems cool but i dont have enough time! Glad that youre doing fun sports tho. I wasnt able to keep going in basketball either bc of time again but its sounds great anyways! I wonder if sarah is 6 ft....and yeah things are definitely different from last year, i guess everybody is just trying to hang on and get through school.

its fine lol and yea, they were haha. david is a fighter type (I wanted to make him a monk but there were complications) and he actually is allowed to have drunken fist abilities?? like cool. also senpai is actually a lot like me, but like, a better version of me lol. itll be nice to work with the animals but im a little iffy about the reptiles yeah. hopefully no particularly poisonous snakes...I bet well be like 70 when one piece ends or something. naruto end was a little weird and kinda felt slapped together, I was definitely not cool with neji dying but hey. it feels like they tried to suddenly make everything really straight in the end just because of the taboo around canon couples that are anything other than straight but its alright. yeah goober definitely is tormenting finny on purpose, and actually his name is something that my mom decided on years ago. and yeah, when schools out ill send you some of your old pics or whatever, I guess whichever ones I think were the best?? id like crossfit but, as I already said, im doing like four sports already and I probably couldn't handle another one haha. basically I just specialize in general combat. I have like, five battle axes and nunchaku and swords and shuriken and stuff (plus special hand to hand combat stuff) and insane strength and intimidation stats but I think in hindsight I would've preferred to be able to use spells so my next character will probably be a wizard or something. there are a lot of overpowered/hilarious spells. ahhh senpai is a junior, and shes basically like me in personality I guess but if I were thinner, less athletic, and had short blond hair and 5 siblings. I don't know her too well yet but I went to a comicon with her this year (she went as tobi from Naruto). im not really interested in the boruto series at allll tho they should've just let it drop at the end of Naruto. and yeah I have those old memes too,,,, theyre so old and the art is so different lol. aren't those on my da somewhere? if not ill put them in stash too I guess. im counting my own daily training as an extra sport since it takes about an hour everyday, but besides that I have boxing, karate, and fencing. my dad wants me to join the football team but id rather join the law team haha. I also have,,,,,no idea what im doing with my life at all. its like, yikes.

Yeah nanchaku are p cool, i actually have some but i havent learned completely how to use them yet! And yeaa senpai is a lot older so i only have one year to get as close to her as possible, eheh. Most of my friends are either juniors or seniors so a lot of them will be leaving this year >.>" and i know what you mean about looking back at old drawings, once my finals are over and stuff ill be able to send you those things i guess. I lost most of my art files too, but only the custom brushes i made, which sucks. The fun thing about boxing is that i actually had to buy arm wraps like lee haha. We mostly do spsrring with eachother and shadowboxing in a mirror. Punching bags exist more in karate actually. I would like to join the football team but i know nothing about football lol. And the law team is the same as the mock trial team actually haha. Apparently no freshmen joined this year and they were like hey why didnt you join you did a good job defending in the trial last year and i was like well, homework is a thing. Ah, kinji is the protag in one of my side series', his series isnt my favorite one of mine tho but its alright. I will probably end up developing him further this summer, if i have time. And yea wow my art is super different now, not necessarily better but hey. i havent posted a lot from my sketchbook bc nobody seems to want to see my sketches which i totally get, but i will probably post some more sketchbook stuff after school is out. But thanks regardless, and your art is a lot better too! Particularly if im looking at that old sketchbook from seventh grade or whatever, theres a clear difference.

oh wow I totally forgot to check my dA today sorry man lol. are you learning nunchaku as a part of karate? how do you become friends with juniors and seniors lol here they don't care about freshmen at all they just care about smoking weed during lunch and how they can sneak alcohol into class (my school is honestly insanely full of substances kids shouldn't be having) oh, but did you know kids can drink alcohol in portland from the age of zero if they're in a private residence and a parent gives it to them? it's crazy, like people in my bio class actually talk about getting drunk and stuff (even despite the lax regulations, many of them still break the rules and drink at parties where no parents give it to them or drink in school like honestly??) welp i went off on a tangent there whatever. thanks for agreeing to send me that stuff tho! I appreciate it, no need to hurry or anything. ohhh and ryan told me there was a fire at the high school today!! jeez that must've been so scary. what was it like?? so, when you're boxing is it like wii boxing where you just punch a person and they punch you until one of you faints?? that seems super painful! pfft yeah honestly football is so confusing like what even is it. and I'm surprised the people thought the challenge class did a good job defending; it seemed like a lot of people were totally unprepared (including me bc I stopped going to challenge like halfway through lol) so if kinji is in one of your side series then does that mean you have other ones too? what're they about? its cool and no, I just have a pair of nunchaku. well, I mean lunch is all grades and so are clubs and many classes have multiple grades too. mostly I became friends with people through clubs tho. there is a surprising lack of illegal substances here?? although I have heard a few minor rumors I have never seen anything. yikes. there wasn't a fire tho it was a gas leak in one of the chem labs, but it made me miss my math test. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing...also they changed the rules about finals and stuff but basically it made it so that teachers were allowed to cram in as many projects as they want at the end of the year so I have like 8 projects now and im dyin but heyyy only 2 weeks left. we don't really do any actual sparring yet in boxing, it takes a few years to learn the basics enough to start fighting other people. but we usually have it so that one partner is holding hand pads and they just call out numbered combos and you have to do them in time and stuff. the high schoolers told me that there were like 4 people they thought did a good job in the mock trial thing, so it wasn't most people but eh. im surprised they thought I did well considering that that is the most shakey and nervous I have ever been? I guess I just did a good job of hiding it because I was,,,really uncomfortable and sweaty but hey whatever. yea I have like 3 side comics that never went anywhere past creating a super basic storyline and main characters. I will probably post little sketchbook art bits of them soonish. I don't really consider any of them good enough to make a successful series out of but well see if I can make them better sometime. creativity is hard and dumb. but thanks anyways for appreciating it

oh, wow, you do clubs too? you must be insanely busy! what clubs do you do? yeah, that is surprising to me. it seemed to me like a lot of people in usc would end up doing drugs and alcohol and such but I guess you just never know. wait, a math test? you're in geometry this year!! do you like it? do you love proofs? I do. aaaugh my teachers are doing that too man I just so desperately want school to be over

I have two more weeks plus finals week still tho >.> yeah, that makes sense. it seems like technique and stuffd be really important in boxing. when you get to actual boxing fighting stuff, though, is it the same punching each other til someone faints thing? im surprised to learn you were nervous at mock trial; you seemed totally calm and collected to me. whatre your other comics besides the kinji one? I probably would like geometry if our teacher wasn't horrible, the concepts are interesting but everybody dislikes the teacher. as for boxing, you don't take turns hitting eachother, you just fight until somebody drops, but there are a lot of rules about what you are and aren't allowed to do. besides the kinji one Im kinda reviving another one from 7th grade about invisible deities, and I spent a while kinda redoing the chess one. there are probably some other, smaller side stories that im forgetting tho haha. I don't believe ive ever tried that, but I might've in one of those sample things in tea shops. I will look into it, tho. I do get monthly shipments of japanese candy and sodas tho, so i get to try a lot of things there. over the summer, besides all my school ish stuff ill mostly be doing dog training for Finnegan, drawing, writing, fencing, learning how to be a group leader in DnD from senpai, and a lot of working out and training for all my different sporty thingies. as well as the zoo volunteering, which seems pretty fun. we had our orientation today and ill mostly be working with ferrets, chinchillas, hedgehogs, snakes, rabbits, lizards, and potentially owls, if I ask to be specially trained in that area. I would love to work with the owls....

I do no clubs and I still have no free time wow how do you even?? what's the improv comedy club like? improv comedy is grEAT I love it it's so funny of course I couldn't do it to save my life lol we have a japanese club at my school too but it's so disorganized lol we tried to have a club trip to this japanese tea house and literally two people showed up so I stopped going after that. what kinds of stuff does your club do? i totally feel the same way about math this year cause I love math (as you know) but it's actually my second to least favorite class this year because the teacher is bad. the same thing happened with art also lol the teacher legit hates me because she thinks anime styled art is not real art and just copying and it's the only class I'm getting a B in so I don't like it really but whatever yaknow, you can't have everyone like you. but the class I would love to never have to take again has to be english. weve read like 12 freaking novels this year and nothing else just read novel -> essay/project -> repeat. if you could make one class disappear into oblivion, what would you choose? boxing seems really intense and such man. is it more dangerous than karate? those stories seem so interesting! the chess one is chessier (how spell), right? that one seemed so detailed! yeah, it's so good! especially if you like black tea, which I think you do if I'm remembering right. which japanese snack box do you get? I got like six months of skoshbox for my birthday and it's really good!! aaaaaaa omg you get to see ferrets I love ferrets and chinchillas they're so soft I'm totally jealous! they're the cutest ever (besides cats)!!! and bunnies! this seems like so much fun! owls are super cool too, but they seem kinda violent and scary too. guess that's why you gotta take that extra training thing.

I have absolutely 0 free time at all lol. improv is p cool, its just what it sounds like haha. ive never actually been to Japanese club because it was too disorganized and I never got a notification that we were meeting?? and yea the math itself is cool but the class is not...but my art teacher is p cool. she entered my stuff in a bunch of contests without me knowing so I won a bunch of things lol. I kinda liked reading tons of books this year in English, we had to read 5 core books and probably about 15 books on our own, which was alright. some of them I didn't like but overall it was pretty chill. we had to do a timed essay for each one tho. I would choose health class to disappear because our sex ed teacher is a psychopathic egotistical abusive lady who brought her 10 year old child in to teach us about rape and abuse??? plus she knows absolutely nothing and is teaching some pretty messed up stuff. gym sucks too this year and our gym teacher got busted for crack but was still allowed to keep his job??? yikes. boxing and karate are probably about the same danger wise in theory since theyre both contact fighting sports, but because of all the regulations karate has about not seriously hurting people, boxing is probably more dangerous in actuality. since the point of boxing is to hurt people, but the point of karate is to defend yourself. originally the chess one was called chessier but that's a dumb name so I retitled it check mate or something a while back lol. it was far too detailed to be a real series tho... I got skoshbox for a while, its p good, but I switched to japan crate because they have sodas and stuff. but now were kinda broke because of reasons so no more of any of them for me! the ferrets looked reaaally cute tho and the chinchillas too. I would definitely like to learn how to work with raptors tho, theyre p cool even if theyre generally more dangerous.
