Favorite games: Minecraft, Portal, Fallouts, Elder Scrolls, Side-scroller Castlevanias, and older Final Fantasies
Favorite gaming platform: They all have their pros and cons; I mostly played 360 and PC.
Tools of the Trade: Oils and Acrylics, an array of brushes and knifes, and a will to re-invent and incorporate new ideas.
Other Interests: Photography, home brewing, mechanics, carving and sculpting, and occasionally socializing.
# About me
I'm a self-taught artist. I enjoy working in oils, acrylics, and occasional photography. I also enjoy writing and working with my hands, I'm a sort-of modern Jack-of-all-Trades meets Man-of-Letters.My life has been defined by wild transformation, and I always seek to grow and develop myself. I am an Ex-Mormon Agnostic-Atheist. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army. After my service I studied Philosophy and English in college. I am basically the standard starving artist. I am lucky enough that my art has not killed me yet, my art is my calling and dream. I find the serenity of painting is good for me, and is my pace. I struggle with long running mental illness, it's an invisible battle and looks silly from the outside i'm sure, but it's plenty real for me and the plus side of it is that the struggle has given me an eye for beauty, and appreciation of tranquility. Art is a magical thing to me. I often feel like my heart is a hurricane raging violent tumult. but there is a nirvana in the eye, a place of silence peace bliss isolation and harmonies, art has given me that center.
I enjoy painting landscapes, and adding a sense of human emotion and psyche through fluctuations in style to the overwhelming beauty of nature, but I can and will paint anything I set my mind to. Lately I've been venturing further from my roots.
