# About me
I got into polymer clay about 5 years ago and am totally hooked. All my creations seem to evolve personalities of their own and I can't help but share them. I am inspired by the works of Christi Friesen, an amazing artist, and I hope my work inspires others to try this versitale medium!Everything on this site is for sale at my etsy site at www.myphoenixcreations.etsy.co…
Prices are listed in the descriptions and I love to accept custom orders! Any questions or comments are welcome, I am definitely not one of those artists who think everything should be kept a big secret.
I also have ebay auctions. You can check them out at :shop.ebay.com/heathenflames/m.…

Thanks! I really enjoy your stuff too! So, when you make a journal, do you bake it with the paper in it, or just the cover? Is the oven at a low enough temp that it doesn't burn the paper?

MandarinMoon In reply to heathenflames [2009-07-10 22:29:38 +0000 UTC]
I have done both with mixed results...sometimes disastrous results LOL! The first journal or two was completely covered in clay and was baked right on the book with no mishaps. They were spiral bound and the paper did not catch on fire. (I was very worried about that!) But I made the mistake of baking another piece right on top of the bound book I was decorating and the glue melted and the pages fell out! I can laugh about it now. Another bubbled up on the surface like rising bread...good grief! So...I'd be real cautious and avoid baking the entire book unless you feel adventurous!

Thank you for all the faves!
STUNNING GALLERY! Very nice! I love the book my friend got that does this kind of polymer style!! *is Sad!* I wish I knew who it was...did you see these in a book because if you did, i would really like to know the title cause i want my own copy. She has a dragons one and an ocean one and some others. I am rather new to polymer, so my apologies if this is a regular or common style, i have no idea. It is my favorite so far though.
I have some ornaments I made up on my deviant art site, but nearly none of my polymer stuff is uploaded. I have some wands that I made using the same style, too, because making swirlies and embedding jewels is fun.
