Ha, yes well... I'm not at a high point at the moment. But the reason I chose it was actually because it made me think a little. You're not in the US are you? The kid just reminded me of when I was growing up, which wasn't in the US, and where seeing a boy in a suit and tie (not on a Sunday afternoon) was common. School uniforms and all that.... He reminds me strongly of a time where you could be angry all you wanted but you rarely were allowed to act on it or show it. Socially all this teen angst and anger and depression and all that just wasn't a part of life in South Africa. You were polite to your elders and kept your mouth shut and behaved well or or you're told you sound like you were raised in the gutters. Ha. Anyway... that's just my own personal spin on it. It's also very well drawn and I've always had a lot of respect for those that can draw in pen. That's something I've never been able to do. Thanks for taking the time to read my journal as well, I'm just spewing my personal crap into cyberspace. It's a good way to vent some times because, unlike writing in a journal, I know somebody will read it so it doesn't still feel all locked up inside... Meh, anyhow. Thanks again.

Me ex step father was white south african. I moved there when I was five and moved back to the states just before I turned eleven... Formative years... What I remember of my childhood was mostly in SA.
