Aw I am sorry I have no advice how to convince friends to become a lolita :/
All my friends are lolitas so I didn´t need to convince anyone.
Maybe just show your friends pictures of the style an tell them how much you would love to dress up with them? I would also suggest you to go to meet-ups and I am sure you´ll make lots of lolita friends there! Good luck!

i just wanted to pop in and say what a beautiful lolita you are. Im new to the fashion and it seems hard for me since i am 5'9 (so tall) I always keep my eyes out for a Large size or I have to add an under ruffle to give myself the extra inches I need to keep my skirt at the right length. thanks for being such an inspiration to us new to the fashion. :) (Smile)

Wearing Tights and OTK socks helps if you're tall.
Don't worry too much if your skirt don't hit the knees as long as you don't show bare thighs.
I know a lot of tall western lolitas who pull off their dresses very well!
I hope you'll have lots of fun with lolita fashion.
