Um Hello, I'm sorry for being nosy but I was looking at my friend Ham549 pics and I noticed this arguement. I too am a close offline friend of his and I want to apologise for his rude actions. I'm curious why you think only great artists should be here. I read somewhere in the beggining of this whole arguement that he should leave deviant art because of his lack of views. I only joined deviant art to become a better artist and to look out for my friends.

Putting this entire arguement aside I'd like to ask you a question Marmoset-Warlord. Is this not a place where amature artists can become better artists or do yo believe people are born with artistic skills and cannot just develope them?

You need not apologize for his actions; he is the one who has yet to do so. Nor do I think any apology of his holds any sincerity or weight, so honestly it isn’t worth the time or effort. (Neither is he honestly)

I do not believe only "great artists" should be here rather people with talent and ability should be able to post without degenerate hack's bombarding their galleries with spam and ineffectual comments. His manner of holding himself hardly qualifies as someone who is here to appreciate art and his gallery points to someone who has little skill to offer the website as a whole. (His page views are a reflection of the general interest in his work by the community overall, thus it is apparent in his long tenure here and pitifully low views that he has not sparked much interest) If your reasons for being here differ from his apparent goals then congratulate you and have no quarrel with you.

As far as this theological argument you’re presenting goes, I feel that this site is for artists to "showcase" their works. One may take the time on their own accord to improve their skill set and form relationships with others that hopefully help their talents grow. The second part of your "musing" as to if people are born with artistic talent or develop it over time. That breaks down into the realm of human psychology and philosophical ideals. Debates regarding this rage from Montesquieu to Kant, and if you have a mind and are literate I suggest you read and form your own opinions. Ultimately however each person is entitled to their own outlook on the matter and I don’t pretend to know the answer (In fact no one really does). Yet in your friends case in analyzing his works it’s clear to me there is no improvement over time, nor is there any imaginative talent behind them.

I really do hope you don’t follow in his poor example and feeble display of character and moreover intelligence by choosing to harass me. I consider the matter between us (Ham and I) closed and have no wish to berate you in a public forum. Should you choose to follow in his footsteps however I will not hesitate. Tread carefully my friend

It's been a while since I read Kant, I mainly studied his works in ethics. What book did he write that covers this topic. Is it fatalism? I read the the grounding for metaphisics of morality and practical reason. I have no desire to get into a flame war with you nor do I have trolling down as one of my hobbies. I saw the beggining of this arguement as a way of asking you a question and also to try and stop ham549 from causing more trouble. I'm glad your more open minded than your reponsenses to ham549 make you out to be. That wasn't an insult either. Ham seems to bring the worst oof people most of the time. It would be better if I spoke to you about art and philosophy on another page. Ham549 is aware that I'm talking to you about this and this is his page which might turn into another arguement again.

It seems your far more learned than your counterparts, for that I applaud you Netduelist7 and hope to remind you that a man is measured by the company he chooses to keep. What use you find in such people as ham549 I cannot guess nor honestly hope to try, as it is merely an exercise in futility and ultimately unworthy of my time or patience... I respect your decision to not engage in a pointless feud with me, as I am here not to clash with others but to enjoy their works as well as showcase my own. (A mindset certain others seem to be sorely lacking) I am more than open to questions or inquiries, though admittedly I am usually onsite when I'm updating or adding work to my gallery. Bear in mind however that when one has to stoop to an intellectual level they are unaccustomed to properly insult a mindless simpleton it generally shed a poor light upon their own character. Therefore in my eyes your assessment of my own psyche is not entirely unwarranted nor do I hold it against you in any manner. Furthermore you are more than welcome to visit my gallery providing you adhere to the same reasonable code of conduct that you seem to display here. It has been an extraordinary pleasure to speak to you Netduelist7, providing he has a brain in his skull ham549 should take a page from your book and apply it to his own behaviors. Thank you I will chat with you on your page. Ham549 has some redeeming qualities he has yet to show for some reason, He's invented things in robotics that have blown my mind. Why he chooses to harass and bother people is beyond me. He has drawing skills that I envy and desire but if he chooses to waste them starting useless arguemnts he is wasting his talent. Please do not group Laughingman02 with Ham549 he is an artist like me only defending Ham549 and trying to keep him out of trouble. He is the voice of reason in our trio of friends which we have been friends now for many years.Ham549 may be impulsive at times but he is a great friend.If you are reading this Ham549 right now, leave this guy alone I don't know why you want to attack him but save that for a place like a online forum where people rant a lot. Sorry, I wrote that because this comment is on his page ok I will talk to you elsewhere marmoset-warlord.
