OMG! Jem and the Holograms! My girlfriend was crazy about that show when she was a kid. I was too old to know about it and I'm a guy for Chrissakes so I never heard of them until she educated me. Thanks for the comment and by the way, what is a llama badge?

Llama Badges are just something we give & receive to collect. they go on the top right hand corner under the title bar. There is a present icon with a Give button there and you can give llamas to whoever you wish for free. They don't cost any points. If you have a premium membership you can buy Deviation points but llamas are free.

As amazing as you think my gallery is, you're doing something I would never consider - portraits in watercolor. Just doing a face in watercolor is tough enough, but getting a likeness? Forget it. Keep working on those faces.
Love the condor. Where are the Dylan portraits?

Last night was fun. Watch this space. I will be updating my deviations a lot more than my website because it is so easy.

Thanks for the endorsement. Yours is the first comments from what I would consider a professional, and one who's work I have actually seen on more than one book cover. Both the Merlin and Wolfman images are prominently displayed at my local Barnes and Noble. My concern is that is my work good enough to make a living from? I know I need much improvement and I am working very hard.
Thanks again.

You certainly have the skills to do this professionally. Your work has a classic fantasy look, which I'm a real fan of.
Commercially right now, publishers seem to go for a photo-real style. That is at least my experience (which is mostly book covers and some video games). It might be worth trying to incorporate some of that into your work.
I'd like to do a little more of the kind of stuff you produce. I don't get that many "natural media" jobs but I really enjoy it when I do.
Good luck!

The irony here is that I have been a very successful freelance illustrator for over 24 years - architectural illustrator that is. Since that work has dried up and gone to China to be done on computer, I am re-inventing myself from the ground up. Meaning the digital section of my website is forthcoming. Thanks for the help.
