Okay, wow. Wow.

Yes, that would be me. The girl who wrote the DA fics without happy endings. And frankly, after all this time, I'm amazed that someone still remembers them - they were never too popular to begin with, y'know, with people preferring their warm and fluffy feelings and happily ever afters to my creepy introspection and self-caused tragedy. Anyway, thanks so much for the words of praise, it feels awesome to know someone has enjoyed my writing.

As for a potential DA:I fic, well, in theory, I absolutely think I'll write about my inquisitors some day when i get to it - but not too soon, I'm afraid. To properly play Inquisition, I have to invest in a new computer and sacrifice at least a month of free time to be able to explore the game as much as I need to in order to come up with a story. And at the moment, I have other priorities in life, so I doubt it will be before, say, late summer.

They were definitely my favourite! I love creepy introspection and self-caused tragedy.  I still re-read them sometimes when the mood strikes...

Oh and I didn't mean to push you or something, I was just wondering if you're still in the fandom and all. I'm finding it difficult to cope only with fluffy fics and seeing a familiar username gave me hope of more interesting themes being explored

Anyway, I hope you have fun with the game and feel inspired! If you would like to chat or discuss ideas or a beta or something, I'm a very willing volunteer

You wouldn't believe how good it feels to know that my writing actually left such a strong impression on someone

I was just trying to write the kind of stories I'd love to read myself - I've always found fluffy and sugary fix-it fics too boring and bland, opting for stories about human pettiness and deliciously creepy dysfunctional relationships instead. And don't think you're pushing me - actually, knowing that there's someone out there looking forward to my stories is what may encourage me to write.

And I may just take you up on your offer. Given that English is not my native language, I do desperately need a beta

You know, that's actually what's stopping me from writing myself - the thought that no one would read my stuff... Part of the reason I liked your stories so much, maybe - you actually had the courage to post them

Well, English isn't my first language either (i'm from Bulgaria, actually... just noticed we're neighbours ) but with so much practice and between us we could manage to make it sophisticated enough, should you trust me with it

You're from Bulgaria? Now this is funny - the vast majority of people who did enjoy my fics were from Slavic countries. There was even a girl from Ukraine who translated the stories and posted them in Russian - and the reception they had in the Russian part of the fandom was waaaaaayyy better than among the English-speaking fans. Now, I'm not sure whether it's a language thing - like, no matter how much I take pride in my English or polish my writing, there is still an underlying Slavic line of thought that these fans can pick up on - or maybe, if we reach out for the stereotypes for explanation, there's that "Slavic soul" thing that says that East European nations have a penchant for tragedy. Well, who knows, but I do find it interesting

I'll happily send you my writing when I get to DA:I. Having someone encourage me to write more can definitely be useful - I have a couple of orphaned DA fics that I never managed to finish (two Wardens and one Hawke), and if you're there cheering me on, hopefully the chronicles of my inquisitors will avoid the same fate

Also, where're you from exactly, and do you happen to visit the pop-culture and anime cons in Sofia? I might go there this year myself, either in July or in the fall, on account of my cosplay activities...

I am from Sofia, actually. I have never visited the cons, though. Mostly because I have no one I can go with and really don't feel like walking around alone... But given sufficient cause I could probably persuade some not so interested friends to join me just for the company Oh and your cosplay is magnificent by the way! I am not usually interested much in that aspect of fandom activities, but sometimes the sole professionalism and passion that went into the costumes baffle even me. Great job
