# About me

my name is Derek Bratton and I like to think of myself as a photographer. No, I'm not what would be considered a professional photographer because I don't get paid for it so just right now it’s a hobby, but one I enjoy lot.
I actually started off my photography career is trying to capture pictures and videos of the of the paranormal and I have caught some. So yes, I was a ghost hunter until one day that hobby started to affect me in a very negative way. it's also started to affect my wife and kids in a negative way to so unfortunately had to quit.
So now I take pictures of what I find interesting, I'm no longer ghost ghost hunter although I do find myself in the occasional EVP sessions from now and again. for all of you skeptics out there, I used to be a skeptic myself. That's how I got into the whole ghosthunting business. I just wanted to see if it was real, and as the saying goes "be careful what you wish for" I got what I wished for, it’s real.
I would love to get it to Boudoir photography, but being married and being a family man it's kinda hard to do that. Fortunately, my job allows me to travel and I get to take pictures of the badass things like F-18 fighter jets so that's where you will find that most of my genre lies, in aviation photography and family portraits.
