Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill

spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.

Thanks very much for the helpful comment on my piece, I really appreciate it. I agree with almost all of your thoughts on it (except the eyebrows (it was the cheetah thing, I couldn't help it, lol) and the watermark (didn't really intend for it to be a logo, just a "don't take this piece or I'll hunt you down and hurt you" sort of thing ).

Anyway, thank you.

Thanks for the well thought out comment on Music Corner You reminded me that the perspective on the box is a bit off as well. Heh, I had totally forgotten about that. Yeah, I think I used some shitty brushes (and it was actually painted on sketch paper). I use better, thinner brushes and canvas nowadays.

Off to check out your gallery..

Thanx Marc, for all...
Your comments are very accurated, about cEnTaScReEn well, the drinker man is weird, I know it, it was an old flash deviantion, now recicled into a screensaver, where the only purpose was do a little, funny and schematic flash loop, a bit different...

At any rate, in the cEnTaScReEn site you can download, and you can upload any screensaver done by you, if you are interested

About Random Deviant Box you are wellcome into it, I will update it very soon and of course you will be in there too and yeah! I will do the try with some skins for its, I did a proyect forum about this a while ago... explaining my ideas, but unfortunately, there wasnt enough response You can see it here [link]

And The Bearded Woman, eee, hehe, I believe shes talk by herself

Thanx for comment my stuff! moreover, your comments are sincerely good, I take note of your observations...

See you soon, my friend

Whew, thanks for the comments! I appreciate the constructive criticism.

To answer your question, I do know my camera well... I have a Coolpix 5000.

The Scarf was a last-minute shot that I cropped. I used manual focus and autometering (though I was going for a colder feel - the blues and pinks/reds were enhanced with levels in Photoshop), but what I judged to be sharp on on LCD came out not-as-sharp on my computer. Better luck next time, I suppose.

As for On City Time, thanks! That's one of my favorite shots.

thanks for the great comment...the photo was touched up in photoshop because it was taken with a digital camera...basically it was to clean off the grainyness and you end up with what you see...the angel motif was not in my head at all....as far as color goes, it was taken in black and white mode so i would have to airbrush the color...my airbrushing skills (or lack there of) are not good enough to paint a person...not yet at least. thanks again for the comment.

By my translation "moth" ain't the right word. It's more like a bug or a fly from the night after the rain.

hope you understands.

gaffi [2003-01-31 17:03:59 +0000 UTC]

Actually, the "Dome" was comprised of two fractals rendered in different programs, and it underwent some manipulation (mostly for color.) I can give you some of the equasion to one, but none for the other. As far as I've seen, messing with the paramaters in that one program has no effect. It comes with presets, with the equations, but I used a random setting, and so I don't have those params.

I'm not exatly sure what method the other prgram uses to solve the fractal equations.... (It's not as manipulable as say, UltraFractal is or something like that.) I know it uses at least 3 methods, maybe more, and it has transformation equations which change each varialbe in your baseequation.

Here it is:

z=arctan(z-(z^3*sin(z)-z)/(4z^2*cos(z)--z*cos(z)*c))

This is modified by a color equation, of course, and another transform equation. Those two are built in, and the oly way I could find be to dig through the code of the prgram..... I got through about 1/4 of it, but with no luck so far. If you'd really like those eqns, I can get them to you, it would just take some time.

Sorry for this being so long, it started shorted, but then I kept adding. I hope this is what you were looking for. If not, just ask!

Thanks a lot for the comment - a lot of the issues that you mentioned have been brought up in my Univ. Critiques - the use of colour, the composition - but lately, there hasn't been much interest in the subject matter, just the application and removal to create an image that works best.
I appreciate your time - there are only a few people like you around here on DA, and it's good to see someone who has interest.
I haven't shown these works in Toronto yet, but will be applying at the end of the summer when I move back from Halifax. They have been shown in London Ontario and Halifax, and have made quite the impact. Mostly positive.
Now I just need to sell a few!
Cheers.

Thanks for the comments and everything! I'm sorry for not really getting back to you sooner.

I know about the pixellation recently....

Normally it's not that bad, but the images recently, as well as a few others are like copies of copies. You know, the more you do, the worse they get. A lot of work went into those pieces over long amounts of time, and as such, are impossible for me to reproduce correctly everytime from the very beginning before adding another change to it....... I wish I could. The original was about triple the final size. (kinda difficult to work with. ) I also set the compression value to the lowest setting, so as not to add artifacts and such, but that only does so much.
