I just need a long-term project to keep myself drawing regularly, so I think it's going rather well! It was originally just something for me to doodle on my own, but seeing that people are enjoying and commenting on it has really given it a life of its own!

Dude! Awesome gallery you've got here. You're ability to cell shade cast shadows puts me to shame. Your character proportion and stances hint at a possible animation background...? My only suggestion to make your style the most pimp it can be, would be to work on your inking / outlines. By using think and thin line weights, and tapering strokes (ones that expand and shrink as they go around curves) you'll make your characters infinitely more three dimensional. Because I'm so bad at inking I tend to go for a more abstract approach, but your style could benefit massively from it. This is a terrible example, but at least it shows you what I'm talking about: [link]
Just some ancient scrap from when I used to think I could ink.
Anyways, keep it up and I look forward to seeing some more of your stuff.

I just happen to have a sketch waiting to be inked in my sktechbook... I shall do as you suggest.
I should also say: You're the first person to actually give me any advice. Danke.

haha, any time. Deviant art isn't a great place to learn alot, it's more of a gallery to show off and feel loved. When you're ready, head to: sketchtavern/forum . It's my favourite place on the internet. It's a vast collaboration of illustrators from across the globe, professional and amature. We do weekly sketches, full out art battles with prizes, and there's sections for everything in between, including a light critique section and a world-famous BRUTAL critique area. You should check it out, because it's a place where your art will actually mean something, and you'll get advice from the best in the field.
Do it up, son.

I'm checking out that site you suggested (awaiting my confirmation email), and I made an attempt at variable-thickness lines. It came out good. I again thank you for the advice.
