# About me
Aaron Burks was born in Long Beach, California in 1978. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Navy, serving 10 years at sea on 3 different ships. In that capacity he traveled the world many times over. He served a total of 12 years in the Navy, and also served 3 years in the U.S. Army, completing two combat deployments. He retired from the military in 2011 and pursued an education in Fine Art at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he will receive his BFA in the spring of 2015.# Comments
