I understand you annoyance with clogging the stock gallery, but honestly, I only posed 4 pictures of the "same exact thing". give me a break already. and if you don't like the stock here, find it on google. I'm sure they have plenty of stock galleries to choose from there.

Only four of the exact same thing? If you recognize that there are four of the same, then don't you recognize how unnecessary three of them are? Why not delete them?

And okay, so they aren't all the "exact same thing", but there's a lot more than a set of four that are way, way too similar to warrant seperate submissions.

I did.

I ended up having a wonderful back and forth conversation with another deviant who did this. She deleted 120 of her gallery pictures by the end of the day. I was pleased that I could help her, she was pleased with her new gallery.

you did eh? I'd just love to hear whom you convinced to delete 120 pictures juuust because YOU said something along the lines of:

"wow, i just don't know what to say ...

...why do you have to clog the stock gallery with picture after picture after picture of the same exact thing? i mean, is each picture really so different, that you must post them all? there's so many of the same exact angle, clothing, model, etc. but your head is just turned slightly different, it's cropped a little closer, etc. this doesn't make a whole new piece neccessary! and your expression never changes. it's creepy and annoying.

You're right, some people DO make DeviantART suck, but it sure as hell isnt this stock artist, nor is it me.
It is those kids, trying to teach someone else what they dont know shit about.
Its those brats saying "you suck" when they see something they dont like. Arrogant as hell, and even more so an annoyance and nuisance to the community.
For the love of art and the sake of sanity, get a brain and start making some constructive critique (not that Im doing it everywhere in this post, but its not like I really care about it because I know your reply will be along the lines of "stfu n00b. U sux"), because there is a great gap between flaming and making an post telling people how to improve.

well first off, i agree 100% i was initially a bit snotty. terrible day. came on to DeviantART to complete a piece i've been working on, and hoped that by some wonderful chance i'd find the stock i was imagining in my head. and page after page was just clogged with the same stuff over and over, maybe you could imagine how frustrating this was. This excuses nothing, and i'm truly sorry for my previous comments. However, we all have our little moments of snottiness, but it doesn't mean we are always such assholes. I'm sure not, and I'm not the type to say things anywhere along the lines of "stfu n00b. U sux", as you supposedly would expect.

So, blacktearstock, just a little advice: I realize the importance of giving artists plenty of options to choose from when they choose from stock, but many of your submissions don't seem to have large enough differences between them to warrant both pieces. Artists can't always be so choosy. It's worth keeping in mind that there are many flexible, talented artists - you don't have to cater to there every need. They can find ways around certain little details, and make things work even if it's not 100% what they are looking for. You don't have to submit a million variations of the same basic picture concept just to try and make their job easier, because I'm sure no matter how many things you submit, it will never reach "perfection" for a given artist trying to match the vision in their head. But the thing is, an artist experienced and talented enough to effectively utilize stock photos for manipulation, the artist will most likely have enough talent to (subtly) manipulate the stock photo to get closer to what they want, rather than search through six other pages of all too similar pictures.

If you do wish to submit just as many stock photos as before, just to give fellow artists just as many options, maybe you could just split up the submission process? Like, only submit five or so pictures at a time over the course of an entire day, instead of all at once. This way, all your pictures will be out there, they just won't fill up full pages at once in the main browsing section. If you are worried that certain pictures of yours won't get seen because earlier sets of five will just get buried in the stock clutter, you can always state in the 'artist's description' field that you have more options available, and that they can all be viewed in your full gallery. your gallery can be the place where people interested in your work can see view your entire body of work together, and people looking for something else will be able to browse past your work in the main gallery much easier, too. Just a suggestion, and sorry again for my previous tirade.

And trust me, Ezekiel1986, I knew my post was uneccessary and most uncalled for before you pointed this out to me. But your reply wasn't at all unjustified, and we all needs to be put in our places every one in awhile, no?

hey - granted there may be some things the same - there might be a small part of it different, maybe her finger is in a different spot - or even her hair - and you know what, that's actually really important. So don't go harping on her, she didn't "clog" the stock gallery - theres millions of submitions each day - so does it really matter? She's actually a pretty good stock artist and i actually just used one of her pictures and plan on using more. So seriously back off, atleast she has an acutally gallery - and works hard to help people who need stock art. Good stock art is hard to get these days, and her's is good. So leave her alone. I'm honestly not trying to butt in - but this pisses me off, you randomly comment on her page and harp on her - does it really matter? my fucking god. you need to go out get a life and get laid instead of bullying people online. It's pointless and you know she honestly doesn't give a fuck of what you think of her.
so stop waisting her time and harrassing her.
