I'm open to any suggestion, what kind of craft do you have in mind ?

That's a good question. I was thinking a LARP weapon craft. How heavy do your swords typically turn out? My league is a little more hard hitting than most and we don't particularily like weapons we can fling around as if they are made of tissue paper.

The weight of a LARP weapon is conditionned by it's size, core diameter and shape.
It can range from 600 gr for a short sword to 1,5 kilograms for a double-handed war axe. The weapon can be lested in the handle to shift it's balance and increase maneuverability.
As for durability, I use a dedicated polyethylene foam sold as Plastazote 45, on a fiberglass core, sealed in a mix of latex and elastomer primer and coated in layers of elastomer varnish.
I can make an estimation of your project if you provide me reference art or pics.
Feel free to send me a note to further the discussion.
