I also see alot of meaningful depth in Mako and Asami. They both lost parents and when Hiroshi talks about how someone believed in him and that was what allowed him to make something of himself I could not help but see the parallel with Asami believing in Mako. I really would hate for them to break up.

I adore Tahno too. I was originally not going to watch Korra but then a friend of mine showed me a gif of the interaction between Tahno and Korra in the noodle restaurant. It reminded me so much of the sexual tension between Zuko and Katara in the Waterbending scroll. When I found out who was voicing Tahno, watching it was inevitable.

But since Bryke like to troll us endlessly I just don't want to cling to any of the ships, I want to know how things will turn out eventually

Nevertheless, I still think it's a shame Zutara didn't happen, it was so close, especially in the finale T^T

I cling on to ships against my own better judgment and then construe my own deluded version of events. For example, Zutara really did happen in the true universe that is out there somewhere. The universe we are viewing in Korra is just an alternate one.
