It's one of those names that I kind of read in my head but make no real attempt to sound out or understand (Like ALL those in Crime and Punishment).

It's Hebrew; it means "God Strengthens." The English name of the prophet Ezekiel is derived from Yechezkel; though admittedly I didn't know that when I borrowed it. It's pronounced Yeh-ketz-kel or Yeh-kehz-kel depending on your accent.
