Hey Robert, is Detroit worth a visit for Urban Exploration? If I go there and stay in a hostel and wander around solo looking for industrial ruins, are chances good that I will be 'victimized'? Everything points to 'don't go', maybe Pittsburgh instead. Your thoughts on this would be golden Sir. Thanks, Dave.

Like any large city (and Detroit is LARGE in sq/miles) it has its dangers; okay, maybe more than others sometimes but if you keep aware of your surroundings and plan your explores, Detroit still has some fantastic ruins. I haven't explored much of Pitt but its definitely on my to-do list. If you do plan a Detroit trip, let me know...I can help with some locations and must-sees.
