i do the same thing
especially now we have digital camera's

blurred and streaky is just as good as composed and perfect
they make good layers as well

always liked the pics of car light streams red and yellow/white windy streaks when a kid and browsing in magazines

i will post a pic of Coolgardie at night
all blurred and grainy
with streaks

have a look if you want

will do sounds good i only just worked out a few months ago that my camera had time lapse so still trying to see what i can do with it

i think a time lapse with fog lights in a heavy fog would look amazing

you can use a tiny aperture and a long exposure time
if you stand in front of the camera you can get ghost like images of yourself that look like Francis Bacon portraits


the fog lights might become over exposed?
could look like smoke?
of course you will be moving as well...

you can also pull the zoom in and out and swing the camera around


i do know a long exposure at night will give weird effects

what light there is seems to creep over to the dark areas

i tried an interesting shot with glow sticks and time lapse
i looked like a ghost at a rave
just checked out that shot you put up very interesting
how many different shots did you use to make that one piece?

i am an old hippy
but not ancient

i recall parties where we would spray ourselves with ruptured glow sticks and pretend to be massive beings covered in stars, moving like a mime performer, with this silhouette covered in star points

good drugs

the pic of the building in Coolgardie involved a dozen pics
i like to do panoramas, sort of wide vision is how i look at the world. So i did that. and as i took the pics trucks carrying stuff to the mines kept driving past , so i let myself take pics of the lights as well.

so i did not go with much of a preconceived outcome.


when i did a book in blurb i arranged the pics into 9 squares, with the intent of making one big pic with all the plains joined up

that was a bit awkward
so i did roof/middle and then road separate

its blurred but i liked the colour

i think many people underestimate post production
of their pics, experimenting and rearranging and i really like using the properties layer in PsHOP


YOU CAN USE A TORCH ON A LONG EXPOSURE
get someone to swirl it around
looks like chakra lights or a halo
i like the crystal glass look of lights in time lapse
i also liked that pic of yours of the bananna like fruit, with the close up distorted lens
