⌠Leaning back against the sand Neptune hummed softly at the feeling of the warm sand covering her body in various places and the bright sun blaring down on her. Though noticing the light darkness hover over her she sat up with a gentle smile on her face as she looked at the individual standing near her.

☓ ] a rather audible and excited squeal could be heard from ciri when the three came a little nearer the santa monica pier and the souvenir shops. her parents' conversation got abandon immediately before jazz drew his attention to his little one once again. there was something catching her attention immensely and he could only guess it had something to do with plush toys. it was mostly the case when not brightly colored stores caught her interest or the amusement park itself that is. there was a small tug on his pant leg as she obviously wanted to get a better view of whatever she wanted to see so eagerly

☓ ] weeks of important work followed to the point of where jazz distanced himself from almost everyone, even his own family, which was absolutely out of character. it was not wanted but he did so merely out of safety. his occasional nightmares became persistent after he had found out about his father's secret; a secret he wished he would have not learnded about. he did not tell anyone about it, not even neptune. he simply did not want to burden her with his problems as it was already demanding for himself. jazz eventually entrusted himself to deliah though, due to needing advice for his planned intention. she was a witch after all and quite skilled when it came to certain rituals. it felt wrong nonetheless, hence he decided to tell neptune as well after five weeks of absolute distance
☓ ] taking care of his sweet girl only for a brief while, he made sure that she would get her afternoon nap along with her favorite plush so that she will not witness anything that may happen today. after closing as well as locking up her door behind him, jazz casually went downstairs to reach the kitchen to where he found his loved one distracting herself with baking. not sure whether she noticed his arrival or not, he simply placed himself next to her leaning against the counter with a small, barely visible smile. he surely would understand if she was not in the mood to talk but he would not accept it though

[•|jazz being distant certainly caught neptune's attention. she merely thought something may have come to his attention a bit more to which she didn't mind in the beginning. however, when she noticed he wasn't going to tell her as soon as she thought she merely continued her business along with taking care of ciri with a little occasional reaction of water acting out due to her emotion. however, there were times she took ciri out to the beach or even visited her mother. so hearing him mention he needed to talk to her caused a brow to lift gently as she stopped working on the second blueberry crumble pie she was making to look at him]
[•|washing her hands she quickly dried them before nodding lightly. shifting to face him she motioned for him to speak away. her eyes reflecting how she was trying to be upset and she was. she just sucked at holding onto such feelings. sighing softly she smiled gently at him.]
"Are you finally ready to tell me why you've been so distant so recently."

☓ ] her upset mood which has been reflected in her beautiful ocean blue eyes surely did not go unnoticed. he could not reproach her with that, after all he could have talked to her like any normal people would do. deliah had warned him about getting to close to his family though, as they could have get hurt because of the nightmares he got. however, due to his intense work all his prior questions got answered by now, which made it easier to wise neptune up. he was sure she would absolutely not approve of his upcoming intention though. taking a long, silent breath his features went back to a serious one

" ... I found a few records from my father, revealing that Chloe wasn't my sister. I mean she was, but adopted. My real sister is supposed to be dead.. there's no evidence though. My father gave her to a demon and that's all I know. "

" I've got these strange, repeated nightmares after listening to these records- At first I thought it was you in my dream because there was like water everywhere but then fire and a burning city, along with a desperate, dark haired girl who was looking pretty wrecked. It all looked like hell to me and she was always dragging me down to it. It felt so real.. Last week I just found out it was no dream. I've got her hand prints all over my upper body. "
" ... I talked to Deliah and informed her about everything. She's sure that the girl actually could be my real sister and needs help. I mean it would make sense, don't you think? [•| listening quietly to him she moved to the table, however, she stood on the opposite side of the table. looking away from him she felt something vibrate through her. it made her want to stare him down. there was far more than she thought that she hadn't had knowledge of. it felt like something was pricking her and she couldn't help but to rub at her arm weakly. though at his final words her head turned quite quickly. her usual serene ocean blues burning as she looked at him yet she merely relaxed her form]
"So from what your research says I can help create your gateway to where your sister may be."

"I already am not happy to hear that someone else knew far more information than I did. That really hurts but you want me to create an opening for you to go somewhere where I have no sure definition of getting you back from. Do you have a sure plan about how you're getting there? What you are looking for or even how you are going to get back?"
"How come i'm always the last to hear about any of this. Are you scared that something may happen to me or ciri if I know?"
[•| sighing softly she dropped her arms to her sides before running her fingers through her hair she let her shoulders drop before she returned her attention back to him]

☓ ] she was not wrong but on the other hand he was sure she would have act the same way. knowing a loved one could get hurt in your mere presence, be it physically or mentally, was simply not something you want to. however, this was the main reason as to why he has not married her yet. there was still a barrier that hindered him to be completely honest with her. he knew himself it was wrong to tell others, in this case deliah, first without letting your literal soulmate know what had happened. he was way too overprotective, obviously. looking finally up at her he frowned greatly as he was rather peeved at the moment. of course she was not weak, it does not have anything to do with that
" Are you dumb or something? Of course I'm scared. Demons are the fucking reason why I lost my whole family! I'm gonna make sure this won't happen again! "

☓ ] when he dig into his inner jacket pockets he drew two guns out, placing one on the table while he took care of the other one. while he filled them with ammo he briefly repeated her words in his head, making him wonder if she really thought he was that unorganized

☓ ] excited eyes grew bigger while patiently waiting for the door of the modest little house to open. even though ciri tried to tone down her energy as well as excitement, her parents knew she was about to explode soon. jazz did not say anything though, merely a mild amused smirk grazed his lips when his attention drew to neptune to bandy looks with her. it was more than just reading each other minds. then, in the blink of an eye, the door were openend, leaving kace no chance to greet the two as the ball of energy alreadly clung onto him
" Look who's finally here~ The most beautiful princess on earth! "
☓ ] smiling genuinely at the young blonde beauty, he quickly made sure to have her safely in his grip. it almost seemed like the two have forgotten about neptune and jazz, much to his amusement though. with a pat on his shoulder he simply walked pass him, casually dragging neptune along
" Don't mind us, we'll just go ahead and enjoy the dinner. "
☓ ] as soon as they have entered the living-dining room jazz could not help but to recognize the sudden familiar smell of brandy punch in the air. that was definitely kace's favorite liquor. however, their entrance did not go unnoticed; jack and gabriel already got up before politely greeting neptune in their usual endearing manner. jack had to point out the lateness though
" You sure took your time. "
" Oh, you know, princesses never know what to wear. "
" That sounds damn familiar .. "
☓ ] that remark was definitely meant for ciri and neptune. jack knew such from his girls as well, so he could feel jazz's inner pain
" It's good to see you. I assume the little one is still with Kace? "
☓ ] and of course the man of the hour suddenly appeared with the sweet thing at gabriel's words, while wearing one of these smiles of triumph

[•|watching ciri grow so excited caused neptune to laugh to herself. watching their daughter be filled with such joy at seeing her favorite uncle just warmed her heart. glancing at jazz she smiled softly at him before turning her attention to the door. Being greeted by kace, she shook lightly in laughter once more. little ciri squealed at being near the other.]

[•|gently waving to kace as she followed behind jazz happily. oh, how she loved watching little ciri grow excited. it was just too adorable! covering her mouth at the pure joy she was feeling she internally gushed over their daughter. it was practically oozing from her in waves. reaching the dining room her attention, however, switched from ciri to jazz's other friends to which she happily greeted. though at hearing jazz's words she pouted playfully]
"Ciri wanted to wear her favorite outfit. Couldn't deny her that."
"Though it's lovely to see you guys."
[•|nodding gently to the question she turned to glance back over at kace who came back with ciri who had her little arms wrapped around him smiling just as brightly as kace. ciri merely looked at kace before giggling at his question her head bobbing quite quickly in response]

☓ ] naturally jazz was only joking around with his friend; if anything he enjoyed how much ciri was fond of kace and the other way round, it was simply endearing. however, at such a sight he could never help but to think about the future, knowing his best friend will grow old like any other human. it was always good fodder to tease him when the opportunity was given. with a small smirk jazz eventually went over to the table, taking a seat before treating himself with a drink. nonalcoholic, of course
" So mean. We don't wanna deal with meanies, right Ciri? By the way, I got something for you. I bet you'll love it. "
" Ha, he is totally bribing ya girl. You better keep a watchful eye on him dear. "
☓ ] jack was indeed absolutely amused how kace always handled the sweet little girl. he had to point out a word of warning to neptune though. you never know. having said that, he along with gabriel moved over to the table as well, letting kace having some fun with ciri
" So how's work going? "
" Oh jesus, do you always have to talk about work? I'm certain Neptune has a better topic for us to share. Please tell me you do. "
" You mean, aside from cooking? "
☓ ] now jazz was teasing her with that sneaky little smirk of his, but quickly dragged her over to him to kiss her in order to soothe her. admittedly, due to jack and jazz working together it was hard for them not mentioning a thing about work, gabriel however wished not to hear about it all the time. they have to talk about something else once in a while

Her eyes bright as ever looking at jazz playfully. making her way to towards the table, neptune smiled softly. such interactions always made her smile. it was nice to be with jazz's friends. which truthfully made her consider the idea of meeting with an old friend that she hadn't talk to in a long time. raising her head from kace ciri looked at him]

[•|hearing him also mention something he had gotten for her ciri gasped with excited. a feeling to which neptune felt easily and eased with a slight hum directed to ciri. the youngling calming down a bit before hugging kace happily. despite the training and amazing control that ciri was gaining. their shared ability always ran heavily based on emotion. more so when at a young age]

[•|turning her attention to gabriel, neptune laughed softly waving off such a playful warning. their sweet girl would just always be spoiled with love. taking a seat at the table neptune feigned hurt at jazz before smiling at receiving a kiss from jazz. shaking her head softly she giggled before littering him with affection. she knew such topics could be...tiring. two of them already worked so much and even at home she tended to come in and occasionally distract him from such]
"There's nothing wrong with discussing cooking, though I would much prefer talking about the little ones."

" So how's the training with Ciri? "
" I would say pretty good, she's too fascinated by it for my taste though. We don't want her to use them too often but, you see, she can be really stubborn. "

☓ ] jazz could not help but to give her that small knowing look. he still could not tell who she was more like but this was for sure one of neptune's traits. he also learned a few things of her from talia, therefore he could not be wrong. naturally, this remark has not gone unnoticed by the two cuddle bugs who were finally entering the room. the non surprising gift from kace was a beautiful dress along with a new small plush for ciri; kace simply loved spoiling her as he was absolutely fond of children. the wish of having one himself was definitely there but for some reason he was still having a hard time to get to know women. however, the mere excited look from ciri immediately brightened the room. it was hard to believe that she could be that stubborn
" She isn't stubborn! This sweet girl just knows what she wants. "
☓ ] of course kace knew she could be like that but he was not bad at teasing either. he also simply liked to encourage ciri which automatically gained her approval. still carrying her in his arms kace eventually took a seat as well to complete the round
" Then again, she is just as amazing as her parents. I mean, just look at her. Blessed with beauty to the core. "

☓ ] the mild cunning yet playful look the two shared was on point; it was simply one of these unique father daughter moments, and jazz knew his little one did understand what he was implying with the prior remark

☓ ] a calm gaze wandered over ciri as she sat cross-legged in front of the pool, with eyes only focused on the water. jazz knew she could do this, all the exercise was not in vain. however she could be a little too overeager at times, which certainly caused neptune to worry more than usual. thus, with a small smirk jazz nudged her shoulder with his, making sure she would relax at least a bit
" Trust her. "
☓ ] with that said it was apparent by now that the pool water began to move in order to form something. after a small moment it turned out to be a familiar unicorn galloping over the water. that one must be from her favorite movie the last unicorn. nevertheless the sight alone was amazing, particularly because she was able to control everything so easily. with a following, seething wave that slowly seemed to became a monstrous, red bull on fire threatening the pure creature, ciri made sure to drown the monster soon enough with another wave. jazz honestly did not expect this but it definitely surpassed anything. the fact she was able to control fire and water at the same time was incredible. when ciri slowly put an end to the performance, she got a nosebleed and began to cough lightly as per usual. she was still young after all, but far from exhausted. running over to her dear parents she jumped around in excitement, hoping her mother was proud
" Did you see it mommy? I did it! "

⌠O⌡f all the lives Neptune had lived, one happened to be under the sea. A princess that did her best for her kingdom while venturing from her home to enjoy the many beautiful things that the humans above had to offer. Even more so to what all they happened to be doing on land. Despite all the terrible deed they happened to do to the sea, she was quite happy to see others help to keep her home clean. From the many she had meet from getting spotted above only very very few knew of her kind.
⌠S⌡miling gently at the other above she flicked her tail softly in the water as she rested her head on her arms upon the rocks lifted from the sea. Her ocean blue eyes filling with happiness at seeing another human companion returning back to her side once more despite the big land difference.
"I am glad to see you returning once more to the sea. Father has made the waves quite calm today."

Once again the cyborg had returned to the shore of the sea. The sound of waves was calming to him but with the onset of winter he was dressed in warmer clothing than usual, and after a bit of searching there she was. The mermaid who was one of his closest companions and friends. Getting to see her were particular highlights, and after making his way over to the tailed female he would sit in her view as he usually would. Wasn't she cold with the colder weather though? Despite this a worry was particularly prominent in his mind. "It's good to see you again Neptune. Are you keeping well?"

⌠S⌡miling brightly at her dear friend she giggled softly before raising her head from her arms. Of her human friends, she had to admit omega visited her the most. It gave her a reason to come to the surface more frequently. Then again her perception of time was off compared to humans. She had to come up to a certain point in the sea to even tell how much time had passed. Gently reached out to him with her now dried hand to feel the warmth he was giving compared to her ever cold touch.
"I am, my youngest brother is preparing to accept his duties as a prince due to is coming of age ceremony."
"On land it seems to be...winter for you. Are you doing alright with the cold?" she asked softly giving him a worried glance.
