# About me
When I create an artwork, it’s purpose will most likely be one of the following: purely for the enjoyment and appreciation of beauty, to convey a message either through straightforward illustration or imagery, to revisit and relive a memory, or to take the time to study a person and attempt to capture their uniqueness and individual quirks in both appearance and personality. That being said, I would accomplish nothing without the help of my God. Asking God to bless my hands before I paint or draw doesn’t miraculously make me a great artist, nor does it make someone you creates art in their own strength any less of an artist, but I know it changes my attitude and stirs in me a desire to glorify Him, and only Him. ‘Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.’( Ecclesiastes 9:10)In truth, I don’t have a long list of admirable artists I aspire to be like. I normally fall in love with one particular piece by an artist but remain neutral with the rest of their work. I pick up inspiration from here, there, and everywhere. Some artists whose work has inspired me on multiple occasions include: Andrea Kowch, Eugene de Blaas, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, Lu Jian Jun, and Mark Maggiori.
My goal is to use art to make an impact on those around me. The impact could be as small as a simple smile from someone who received a drawing. It could be as important as reminding those in this modern age of God’s Word, the people it speaks of and the truths it teaches us; that it is not to be taken lightly. Thank you for reading and thank you for taking a moment to view some things that I thoroughly enjoyed making, perhaps especially for you… without even knowing it.
