Favorite visual artist: None that I can think of, although Polykleitos was a badass sculptor hehe.Favorite movies: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, although a good comedy can do the job too, & a good gore film is always nice hehe. Horror films don't do it for me anymore as they used to when I was a kid, so I don't watch them, but if you can recommend a good one please do so :)
Favorite TV shows: Black Mirror, Netflix's Castlevania, HBO's Spawn, Rick & Morty, DBZ, OPM, Saint Seiya, Fist Of The North Star, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samurai X, Afro Samurai, JL Unlimited & many more.
Favorite bands / musical artists: Synthwave/Outrun/Darkwave, Lo-Fi, Melodic Death/Power Metal, Classical, Opera, Pop Opera & Space Ambient (Stellardrone, Carbon Based Lifeforms & Algol need more recognition <3). I'm always opened for suggestions in music :)
Favorite books: The Illiad & The Odyssey. Homer knew how to tell an epic, I recommend these books to anyone who likes Fantasy in general, they are OG's. I want to read the Hindu & Sumerian epics & Norse Sagas in full, & will get to Asimov's "Foundation" series soon.
Favorite writers: I like Asimov & H.G. Wells in Sci-Fi, Lovecraft in Horror/Thriller, Tolkien & GRRM in Fantasy & the multiple creative minds behind some of the world's mythologies, like Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Hindu & Sumerian, as they are the OG's in the Fantasy genre.
Favorite games: DOOM franchise, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, DB Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Raging Blast 2 was also good, the Metro & S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, the Fallout series & Skyrim (with mods of course haha) & Mass Effect Trilogy, ME3's ending was disappointing though :(
Favorite gaming platform: I'm a gamer to the core, give me a console or a PC & I am happy; mods do give PC an edge though hehe; although I'm not too keen on mobile platforms i.e. Smartphone/Tablet, PSP, Gameboy, etc. I don't know why I never got into them as much.
Tools of the Trade: I'm not looking to make money out of the few drawings I submit, it's all just in good fun & to see what people think of what goes around in my head when inspiration strikes & maybe inspire better artists than myself to have a take on these concepts.
Other Interests: I would like to try Shrooms & LSD some day (not at the same time though xD). I like Snowboarding. I would love to learn ancient Greek & Latin. I love to learn new things in general, so please recommend me stuff that you like & expand my horizons :)
# About me
I'm a 25 y/o guy (damn it I'm getting old) that loves anything 80's, from it's music to it's pop culture; nostalgia for a time I never knew I guess hehe. I also enjoy Comics/Manga & animations in general, but I'm more of a retro 80's/90's anime guy, but I will never shy away from a good written story driven by character development & interesting situations, even if it's slow paced. I'm also a big video game enthusiast, the more realistic & engaging the game the better, for me it's all about that immersion for a great experience.I like Sci-Fi & Fantasy, but the Greek Mythos is my jam haha.
So in short, I'm a huge geek :D.
I'm not an artist, I studied Graphic Design in Highschool & that's it, so I have a bit of practice drawing but I never took the graphic arts too seriously, I like to draw once in a while but I get bored very easily & leave my projects half finished haha. I need a lot of inspiration & some times some good ol' THC to finish them xD. I might submit some of my unfinished drawings & if people want me to finish them, I will & I will post them here. I draw by hand without any software, just pencil/pen & paper with Pastel Colors &/or Prismacolor, & as I said, I'm no artist like the wonderful people submitting their amazing works of art here, so don't expect a Davinci or anything like that haha. I hope you like some of the concepts & ideas I have in my mind & if a good artist likes them & can flesh them out better than I can that would be great, please feel free to do so, I would love to see what a pro artist can do with my concepts & ideas, just let me know so I can see what you have created :).
I'm a big Science buff & a critical & logical thinker, I'm always ready to learn new things & engage in constructive conversations & debates; I really don't mind accepting that I am wrong as that is just an opportunity to learn & stop being ignorant of the facts of a subject. I do not mind goofy conversations & topics though, I like to think that I have a good sense of humour :D.
