I use Krita. It's an excellent program. Occasionally I'll also use firealpaca for refined line art drawings or coloring.

I personally found it a little difficult to get used to. Not to say you can't, it just doesn't come quite so easily for me. It was a solid program! And it most certainly is best used for what it's titled: sketching.
I tried the app on my phone as well and it was streamline for being so simple.
