Yes, at first I found it a tad uninteresting but once you start looking into it e.g the symbolism, the book is quite an enjoyable read. Also, I have always been into physiological themed things so I like going home at looking at it in more detail.
Actually, I have just watched the 1962 film version of the book and am just starting the 1990 film too.
I always find that I get so absorbed(?) in books in general.Β
What are your opinions on the book ( assuming you've read it) ?

I have read the book, and loved every minute of it, I also find that I get absorbed in books (but as long as I like the book and am in the right mood for reading it), however, I thought that the start of the book was quite depressing,but as you read further it picks up pace and I just couldn't put the book down.
Unfortunately since I didn't study it in class I am afraid that I haven't picked up on much symbolism, but I loved that I didn't immediately notice the character's changes in personality (mainly Ralph's) because of how gradual the changes were.
I haven't seen any on the films (sadly ) but have seen images of the black and white version when I was looking for the basis of how to draw a pig's head

The 1960's one follows the book more closely as opposed to the 1990 one. I personally enjoyed the 1960's one more as in the 1990 one you lose some of the symbolism. I recommend watching them both, you can find them on you tube, if you do watch them please tell me what you thought
