I have been discovered!
As some of you know, I teach an acrylic painting class at Michael's Arts & Crafts. One of my paintings was on display on the framing counter where the assistant manager of the Flying Horse Cafe saw it and asked if how she could contact me. It turns out that she books artists to display their work in the cafe for a month at a time. I get to be the featured artist for August and I'll be having my gallery opening on Saturday, August 9th from 9am to 12 noon.

Well, I know fall classes start at the end of August and we will be Mon-Thursday mornings and work Fri-Sun, but I know for a fact all three of us will be on break from Summer classes in about three weeks, giving us free-reign over Mon-Thursday for about two weeks? Haha, I know it's convoluted...

Hi Heather! At the top of the group's main page, to the right of the group icon, you should see your avatar and screen-name. If you click on that, you should see a menu with several options for actions you can take within the group. The last item in that menu is "leave". It will then ask you to confirm.

Okay! So Thanksgiving is around the corner, so if you're like me and have a little extra free time thanks to the upcoming holiday, let's set up a get together. I for one am in Houston, but maybe for others not near, perhaps you can do the same in your area.
But for me, I wanna meet some artists!! Perhaps we can find a random Starbucks or if you suggest another place that'd be fine too. Then we can talk art and inspire and all that cool stuff to hype our creativity. If you're interested, let me know some time this week. (Remember, I'm from Houston).
